#TOKYO_SINGING #WAGAKKIBAND #和楽器バンド - Hudba
When the otaku kid and the emo kid get together for a group project this is the result
I really should bring my two personalities more together
The goth girl I'd say 🤣
Because is the same kid ajajaja
jajajajajajajajajajaja se mamo jajajajajja
Trueee
Holy shit, this rendition is a masterpiece. Not just Yuko's harmony with Amy Lee, but every single member of the Wagakki Band perfectly pitched in adding layers of brilliance to the song.
100%
I couldn't agree with you more! Amazing!!
@@ThePezha Your life up to this point must be so sad to think that way, numbskull. Pitiful life indeed, buddy.
@@PandaGin this is amazing 💞💖
When the Shamisen player gets in, my mind just went...blown!
i love how its a mix between traditional japanese instruments mixed modern instruments and it meshed together flawlessly. plus they all sang perfectly. like i actually liked that the crowd was quiet so there wasn't just cheering to interrupt the music.
Bring Me To Life was * the * song for every millennial growing up. This is quite possibly one of the greatest performances of all time
Even older gen z
Listened to this song when I was a little 🥰
And ya can thank my gen x ma and dad for my music taste as well
I’m Gen X. Absolutely love this song, too. 🙂👍
Millenials and the older part of gen Z as well, as a '99 person myself I grew up with Evanescence, Three days grace, breaking benjamin,.. Barely have any common ground with the younger gen Z people
older-middle '05 kid here, bring me to life was and still is my jam!
Everyone's talking about the vocalist's.
Intrumentalists are on point here.
You said that perfectly!! There were a million ways for this performance to go horribly wrong! This performance was spot on and the only thing wrong with it was that it ended.....
thansk for that, the vocalist's is also nice yo.
Typical of the vocalists to hog the attention :') I'm kidding, but everything just came together so perfectly
awesome to watch the conductor go all in for the chorus with his entire building. like i felt that!
Well yes of course. This is Wagakki Band we're watching here.
Why not give this performance a Grammy?
It's music, it's cultural exchange, it's intense emotional rock.
It's got a lot of people excited.
Kudos to their talent, skill and hard work!
Totally!!
100% agreed 🥰
Grammy sucks actually. You don't need those fake prize. This is golden ✨️
it´s a shame, but don´t give a damn about those prices. this is awesome. everything fits together hamonically. it´s like with movies this day. there are so many great ones and when you watch the oscar night, it´s kinda embarressing. same with music. i just enjoy it and don#t want to see some fake prizes for them.
'Cause nowadays grammy is for shitty music.
damn, that guy's backing vocals is so good
That guitar player is the MVP here, without a doubt. Dope Vocals!
Can we just appreciate the fact that Amy’s outfit has been made all gothic-fied?
And how she closed and thanked in pretty well pronounced Japanese at the end!
Holy shit!
@Alex Webber no I mean, she’s got a buckle belt and platform boots
@Alex Webber yeah I mean it’s not completely goth, but it’s definitely an adjustment
Hahaha you have a point.
Not sure how aware you are about the Japanese subculture that LOVES goth/Victorian era fashion
R u kidding me? Why am I found this too late? I'm crying...
Same...
All those things together, the chinese folk instruments, the voices, the orchesta make the song so much emotional.
@@manuale97 Por favor, these are Japanese instruments
Join the club.
Lol, im today year old
This made me screech internally cause A MASTERPIECE
When 'Japan' is part of the equation, the result is always going to be something spectacular.
They sure do go all out in everything, at least theyre consistent
Leaving aside the great performance, the person who conceived, organized, arranged this exceptional experience must be a musical genius. And I enjoy how the VIP guest, as the original author, seems satisfied and she probably enjoys it a lot.
She probably does. Thinking about it, a number of original cultural icons of American empire left for periphery cultures where the general decay have not yet reached.
And straight onto my top 10 unexpected crossovers list
An incomplete version had been in the wild since February... I had lost any hope to see the full ver anyway, so it's a nice surprise

Just went to her concert in sao paulo, and I was mesmerized by her voice...auto-tune? She doesnt need that shit lol she sounds amazing live!!!!
sounds and looks better
This is definitely the best version of the song. IMO
That last note is a killer to hold. They both did so well.

👍🏻
This sounds like the version of the song we all wanted to hear when we were kids, but just didn't realize how much we wanted to hear it.
For real, I wish this performance happened in 2009
90s baby here
I’m just now hearing this and oh my gosh… this is easily the absolute best remix/rendition of this song ever! Man I wish they released a studio version of this!
What I love about this is how much FUN the two singers are having. They're obviously enjoying not just singing, not just singing on stage, but singing on stage with each other. They sound amazing but watching the stage chemistry makes the experience even better.
I love the fact that they didn't over power each other but instead they complement each other with those perfect harmonies.
Thank the soundman
Agreed. Of course, Amy is a class act and that is the essence of Asian culture.
@@444STT Oh Amy's Asian now?
@@scazermazz maybe not but she really lent herself into the culture for this, and given the chemistry on full display between all involved I think she definitely APPRECIATED the culture.
@@sonofdeleniel007 I find it funny that she LENT herself to a song SHE wrote. The Wagakki Band did a cover with orchestra and Asian instruments. Then asked Amy to tag along. Is it awesome? Hell yeah. But that's all it is, a cover. Don't try to talk mumbo jumbo over something that basic.
When the west culture and the east culture combine, the result is priceless.
Yeah, for sure! It's beautiful to see the mixing of two different cultures through music ❤️
Asia has taken inspiration from countless Western composers from the early periods :3
Their use of symphony and orchestra is an example of drawing from the Baroque and Classical periods and it sounds phenomenal when orchestra is supported by traditional Asian instruments, like the shamisen or the koto.
❤
When the west culture and the east culture combine, the result is Russia
@@alexbeau348 How so? I'm genuinely curious!
すごおおおお!!!Amyが和楽器バンドと歌ってる!!!何この豪華すぎるLIVE....
This was 3 years ago and I'm only seeing it now. I would love to see both bands live.
Can't believe the combination of western and Japanese classical and traditional instruments it went together like hearing a symphony
Its because in music structure. Rock and metal , take alot from classical.
This is how you recognize a masterpiece, you can arange it any way you want and it doesn't lose any of its original power.
Jambinai combines traditional korean folk music with western post-rock/post-metal tunes for some time and they are great. Check out Time Of Extinction.
There's an immense amount of awesome on that stage, just wow.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Amy's professionalism?? How she interacts with all of the band members in a performance style??? It's not easy singing, let alone sprinting across the stage and dancing, whilst maintaining eye contact with other band members, and not skipping a single beat.
Amy Lee is phenomenal. Always has been and always will be
Such a Queen ❤️
Agree with that
Couldn't agree more..yes indeed
idols do that every day kek
I've seen her live now. She is such a wonderfully enthusiastic performer and is crazy good. Sounds better live than in studio. It's such an awesome experience. 10/10 if you like her music, she is so fun to see and brings a crazy amount of life and fun to her stage presence
It's the best live version of this song i've ever heard😮 wow!!!!!!!! Great!!!
Mają też inną wspólną piosenkę " Sakura Rising". Sprawdź wersję na żywo 🙂
by far
Although this is Amy Lee's classic epitaph record, Gregorian with Amelia Brightman on the ''Dark Side'' Concert do a brilliant version. They also do a fantastic version of the AC DC classic Hells Bells on the same concert-video. They're both worth watching and listening to. Don't know if you've watched it but the whole concert is well worth it.
I simply love this performance. The integration of modern rock, injection of an orchestra and traditional Japanese musical instruments just awesome!!!
Anyone else noticed how much Amy and Yuko enjoyed every second of it? That complicit laugh at the end of the song
I hear it when Amy is doing the supporting harmony near the second chorus and on that "meeee" you can simply hear the joy flowing through her singing.
Kiss & Momoiro Clover Z did a Album together!
Now Wagakki Band & Amy Lee !!
Listen the story of Evenescense and lindsey stirling when they traveled together. They talk about a prank involving a bear costume lol.
Complicit?
Ikr! seeing Amy smiling as they looked at each other and moved around enjoying it made it part of the experience, it was amazing!
I really like the harmony between Yuko's and Amy's voices here. They compliment each other very well.
right?! normally you wouldn't hear the harmony's from the record live, but this sounds great.
I like how effortlessly Amy and Yuko can move from the "front" power vocal to the "back" supporting vocal then together for the chorus. Both know how to get the most from their own performance while adding perfectly to the other's performance.
Yuko can sing in english!!!
Woooow!!

i'm interested to see more of amy's and yuko's voices together, though i doubt they'd sing any more songs together than they already have :/
This hits me everytime. Amy's voice is just amazing

When we were young we listened the original version we needed more bass and we were angry ....but now we get older and
we listen this amazing version, more calm almost spiritual as traditional Japanese music is!
In 300 years this will be played and revered as classical music
That guitarist screams so satisfying!! Damn this music not only contain talent but also intelligence. So genius.
I was suspecting that they had brought the backing vocals on tape at first, but no, Machiya just does them flawlessly.

Therapist: "Kimono Amy Lee isn't real, you can't fall in love with it."
Kimono Amy Lee:
I don't know where you are from, but in my country (The US) if a person from a certain ethnicity wears an outfit from a certain different ethnicity, they label him/her as racist for some retarded reason, and they are too blind to se that if someone does that, they are simply expressing their interest in the aforementioned ethnicity, so what the hell is wrong with that?!
@@arvingh5551 it really depends,if their using the cultural clothing because its “trendy” and don’t actually respect the culture while wearing the clothing like foxeye trend, then that is racist. If they are respecting the culture then its not racist.
@@arvingh5551 Well Amy is American... in this case I see nothing wrong cause she is joining in with a Japanese band.
@@arvingh5551 is it about the "cultural appropriation" thing? I thought it's only twitter people's issues
Just enjoy a beautiful piece of art without stamping ego identities all over it people. Just allow yourself to stop categorizing EVERYTHING and close your eyes...put your headphones on and let it take you to a place far far away from this place. That's the point.
What I love most is the respect the audience has for the performance. There's no screaming, yelling, throwing things. Everyone is sitting and listening and enjoying it, which allows those around them to enjoy it too! This was badass.
Also mostly because covid was a thing. Minimal screaming and cheering was allowed I don't think.
@@Agave310 You know what? I didn't even realize this was a 2020 concert. lol. You have a point. Still, the fact that they actually LISTENED is still crazy to me. I can see people where I'm from having a fit over having to sit and be respectful at a concert.

Awesome 👏
Love how the band integrates traditional Japanese instruments into a rock band: Shakuhachi,
Koto, Sanshin, Taiko drum, they all work so well and can be heard. Amy and the other lead singer blend like they've been singing together for 20 years. Both such pros.
yes
@Paul Perreira yes
Right, that is not an Okinawan Sanshin. It is a Futo-zao (Fat-rod) Shamisen. The play style is Tsugaru Shamisen. Nowadays, a Futo-zao accustomed to play Tsugaru Shamisen also called a Tsugaru Shamisen. Tsugaru is the northern tip of the main island of Japanese Islands, and that technique was born and raised in that region by travelling blind musicians.
Notice how Amy changed the pitch of her voice to suit the band better ? Wow
Changed her pitch? Mate she's dropped half an octave!
she didnt
She didn't "change pitch" or "drop half an octave". She simply let Yuko sing the main vocal melody while she herself sang the 2nd vocals. (search for a 'vocals only' version of the song on YT if you need a demonstration)
She didn’t “change her pitch”. She’s putting her voice way in the back of her throat, so it changes her timbre but not her pitch. Actually it’s quite unhealthy....
that's called "harmony"
That's awesome
Beautiful❤❤❤
Probably the BEST version of this song I've ever heard in my life. And I've been an Evanescence fan since the Origin days. Now I just became a Wagakki band fan, too. Greetings from Greece!
Same here
Patrida! I agree with you.
Akrivos to idio bro 😂
Συμφωνώ!!!
Yes!
That feeling when a singer gives way for another to perform her song, and then harmonizes along. While Amy is most definitely a star - it is the music that matters. Respect for the music and the deference she showed to not only the singer but the audience is such a classy move.
Brilliant!!!
That was a performance ! thanks

Yah. Beni really doing good job .
Beniiiii eyyyyy!!!!
Thank you for this masterpiece ❤️
Beautiful
1:26 that flute or whatever right there... Dude moves the song to a new place and time, loved these details
It's called a Shakuhachi (I think that's how it's spelt) and yes in this band he usually provides a lot of supporting harmonies that are very funky and provide a lot of minor but important details to just add spice and flair to the music.
Oh yeah, he did that in the beginning too
Damn Amy Lee's voice doesn't age and just gets better and better. Goosebumps.
Totally agree 👍
Really? I honestly feel like her voice sounds very restrained here. I don't know what happened with her, but a few years back her live performances were really awful but this is a marked improvement from what I've heard. Restrained isn't a big deal because in the end her pitch is on point, which is more than I could say about the last time I've heard live performances from her.
@@Akherousia502 Listen to the recent Driven to Perform live performance. Amy's voice is incredible.

Don’t really care if you meet her back or front stage
whatt I love the most about this video is seeing them enjoying this and respecting each other so much, even the orchestra director is so passionate! What I hate about western concert collabs I've seen before is that they kinda fight for attention instead of harmonize like they do. You can even see Yuuko singing parts that she is not supposed to, but without the mic so she doesn't interrupt Amy. I love all of this
wow I never noticed this on western collabs, the first one that came to my head that was exactly what you said was the live version of that song Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, the ending is literally a competition to see who sings louder

Can we just admire how japan has these sticks instead of phones and they actually enjoy themselves?
Because they're not allowed to record or take pics during concert in Japan.
It's in their culture
when I was a kid and we went to the circus we had those sticks, glowing swords, and other kinds of things
being been to few jpop and anisong concerts, i prefer these (waving glowsticks in unison) over seeing phonescreens in front of me
Every synchronized wave increases bandwidth speeds to live-stream the 4k video material back to their homes for private viewing, so by the time the concert is over, everyone of the audience alr has a copy of the concert DVD at home
I'm just joking, but I can dream, can't I?
