Both shocked and amazed, we bring you the story of Bishop Isaac Nduati Mwangi. He is a "Mukurinu" and always dons his turban.
The shocking part is that he has been an alcoholic for the last 20 years and his photos drinking are viral on the internet.
His congregation bumps to his photos and he was denying saying they are photoshopped by those against God's work.
The amazing part is that he is very talented is praising and worshipping.
Though not focusing on quiting any time soon, he has now accepted his weakness and embraced it and has the urge to stop his habit.

I am born again Christian, i am surprised that fellow christians wanashangaa mtu anakunywa pombe but hawashangai eti mtu anafanya usherati. Am not for people to drink alcohol but fornication and adultery is worse sin. The reason why i say this is that Luke 7 says Jesus rebuked pharisees for calling him a drunkard. He said "John the baptist came not eating or drinking and you called him a mad man. The Son of man come eating and drinking and you call me a gluttonous and a drunkard" its evident that God hates adultery and fornication. The problem with drinking are the things one does when drunk. Again, this brother needs deliverance because its evident he is under bondage. But brothers and sisters in church even married ones are sinning na ukahamba mingi but it seems ok. May God have mercy on us

Addiction...this is a serious problem. I have respect for this Bishop. Here in Berkeley I have done volunteer work with a Mission that deals with addiction. He needs to go Rehab.
We are busy condemning mukurinu for drinking and preaching how many of us that are doing worse and dark things that you can't even let your best friend know. From his testimony we need to learn a lesson.

Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits..today when they identify your fruits you call it judgement...Jesus told the woman who was caught committing adultery..go and sin no more...

Opening up is good but I think he should first step out from church leadership and then seek spiritual help. He should also so remorseful. Otherwise, no matter how many churches you open you will be a thorn to the body of Christ. This is because you will preaching ,5 people saved but on the other side other 10 people get lost. May God help you. Accept you have a problem and seek pastors anointed by God to help you.

I think change start by oneself and rehabilitation also. By time he'll change and when one is forced to stop, definitely he/she will come back to the same problem. Prayers needed and also disconnect from where it started
It is not about genuinity , it is about living in sin and glorifying it.
His genuinity does not excempt him from Missleasing a lot of youth. Very good questions Wambui is asking. He needs to quit drinking or serve God and be sober. These are last days where wrong is glorified. So many can be lost following him. Jess was forgiving and saying "Don't sin anymore"
