      @wildebest It is not whether it travels forward. It depends on whether it was released backwards as the ball will naturally travel forward because of momentum.

      That’s what I thought too, but the clock was at 67min when the video started so close enough 👍🏾 I won’t complain about a few extra minutes 😉

    I’m fairly new to watching rugby. Can someone help me understand why Wales got a free kick after the scrum at 16:07?

    • @Gengar094
      @Gengar094 Před 3 lety +2

      Minor scrum infringement, but not enough for a penalty. No idea why though, the scrum is a very difficult part to officiate

      He doesn't say so can't be totally sure but the obvious answer is that NZ was pushing before the ball was put in. Have to hold your weight until then

    Another dreadful performance by Wayne Barnes. Officious but consistently making mistakes. Glad he's finally hung up his whistle.

  • @professionalprocrastinator8103

    I can understand the forward pass call but the second time Wales had a player offside (around 14:15), I thought the referee could've made a better job. Solid refereeing nonetheless from a class ref.
