Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [Here is a lion and a tiger]

And a voice
With the fear of a child

As a 90s kid I loved Lion King. As a 30 year old woman who's father passed away, this song gets me in my feelings. Such a good song.
My dad too also passed on around the same time you made this comment. This song reaffirms me of what I already know, especially on days harder than most.
I am sorry for your loss
@@spider-keithasmr38 i am sorry for your loss

Thank you both. I see my father a lot in my son, so I know that a part of him is living on through us.
As an adult this sounds like a Gospel song now and I love it even more now 🙏🏾
Honestly I love it and im not even Christian
I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees it! It reminds me of Jesus’s omnipresence. He’s everywhere, watching over💕
I agree it has strong gospel elements!
I agree! It does sound like a Christian song!
I'm a hardline atheist. This sounds more about life and growth. I do see how you may take it as gospel, to me though, its life and love.
If this isn’t played at my funeral, I ain’t dying.

The most beautiful song from Disney. The lion king 2 is unfairly underrated. Such depth and spirituality... What an era this was...
The entire soundtrack to the second one was amazing. Much better than the first.
Definitely the best!!!

And even in the 2019 lion king remake
Oh they did I didn't know that
Lebo M is an amazing composer.
Wasn't it the other way around tho? Like didn't this song first appear in a stage adaptation and _then_ be used in Lion King 2?

Down to the lyrics, man. I float high on this song more than I do on weed.👏👏
This song deserved a spot in the original Lion King. It’s incredible.
Thankfully it was in the beginning of the 2nd Lion King movie Simba's Pride.
From what I've heard the song was originally exclusively for the Broadway version of The Lion King, it was only after they added it to the second movie, or at least that's what I was told but honestly I don't really know
I just found out today that I didnt😢 I came here like… (press play) 🗣️LISTEN !!!!
It is in the Broadway performance, after Simba talks to Mufasa's spirit in the field.
@@Allete1such a fitting spot, the play is unreal.
I honestly love this more than 'Circle of Life'. There's just so much more of a deeper meaning in this.

This is why this era of Disney will always be the best. Such an unironically amazing song with such a positive message, like son of man in Tarzan. I am fortunate enough to still have both my parents in my life but even i weep at this song... incredible. We'll never get this again especially in todays market. I treasure these films and especially this song
Yeah today's market kind of sucks >:(

Please don't hate, but I actually enjoy this song more of than the circle of life 😂 this song is just so powerful.
agree
+mariela soltero I think I straight up prefer Simba's Pride to the first film. I find Kovu's journey a little more intriguing than Simba's, with the whole vengeance and love thing.
+Jesse Pigram not going against what you said but I prefer the first one. I mean I don't think a second one was necessary, you just can't live up to the original Lion King. Simba's Pride just seemed like a different movie with different characters.
KaijuTaxi To be fair, most of the characters that were from the first Lion King movie in Simba's Pride were only minor characters (in the plot of Simba's Prode that is). Simba is the most significant character carried (maybe with Rafiki), and Simba's now grown up fully (and Rafiki was always a wildcard). Honestly though, my preference may be a weird nostalgia thing, I haven't actually watched either fim in years (despite the fact they are among my favourite films of all time, I only have them on VHS, and my VCR is broken).
I would say it's on par. When I saw this in Proctors at the beginning of this year, I actually nearly cried with this song.

This song is fantastic not just because it's beautifully composed, but also for the many interpretations and meanings it has.
