Another "Worst" for Hawaii. WORST: homeless youth, public education system, cost of living, cost of housing, utilities cost, cost of gas. Thank you politicians. Hope the City Council is enjoying their 63%RAISE just in time for the Holidays.

Hawaii home homestead act of 1920 has money for 50 offices.
What needs to be done is changing the permitting process and allowing tiny homes for lower taxes.. why do I pay the same taxes as a person with a huge home? Why did hawaii county change the ag lot rule so you have to have an acre or more.. when I bought my lot it was zoned for ag.. I'm using my land for ag.. sure I live here as well.. but I don't have a home.. I can't afford one and can't build one yet.. and since my lot was rezoned to residential with out notice.. because now I need an acre or more.. which makes no sense because even people with multiple acres which are not used for ag purposes are still paying ag taxes.. im literally being punished for being disabled and poor.. I'm 41 and can't get my license because hawaii don't provide vehicles for the drive test.. which means I can't get a job if I wanted to.. I couldn't get there.. never had a drivers license in my life.. spent a good portion of my life homeless.. but I'd rather live in a tent on my own land than be homeless today constantly told to move it along.. accused of being crazy and an addict.. as if no one became homeless from a wild fire ahem lahaina.. or lava flow or hurricane or whatever.. just having no family no support.. it's always reduced to crazy and addict.. maybe that's the problem.. you aren't seeing clearly and you certainly ain't listening...

Hawaii has the highest cost of living in the country. People need to move to a place where they can afford to live. Handouts just encourage more people to move here to live on the streets.
