I probably will soon enough. At the moment, I'm working in a full game walkthrough for all achievements, bosses and Cie'th missions. May take a while, though.
To be frank, before Pulse, it's better to just sell weapons and accessories to get gils. The CP/Gils per hour is not efficient at all.
By selling the costly weapons and Accessories, you get enough gils to upgrade your first weapons (Blazefire Saber, Wild Bear, Vega and arguably Bladed Lance) who are much less expansive than the other and strength/magic accessories.
I can't disagree... except for the Palamecia spot before Barthandelus. Spots before Pulse are still useful for player who want to play the game with some kind of self imposed challenges or just want always have the best equipments all the time : )
@@FinalFantasyGameplays For NCU challenge, it's better to farm in Hope's House.
The problem with farming before Pulse is that it's more efficient to farm money (and PC) in endgame with Shaolong Gui and Long Gui.
Long Gui is a farming spot as well btw. The fight is much less RNG than Shaolong Gui, but the gils/CP per hour is less important than Shaolong Gui (from 2 minutes to 4 minutes against Long Gui, about 1 minute for Shaolong Gui). It's also better to farm Long Gui for Traps.
Honestly, I don't think it's that worth grinding anything until endgame (pulse basically). Having said that I think the spot on the ship (with a save point on the deck) is the only place I would consider farming gil from early game. 99 chips basically.
I just walked a circle on the pulse plains starting at the save point and back at the save point to grind for everything. I'd kill the babies as well for the gold nuggets cause they went down so fast. I preferred this to Edentoise or sacrifices as I loved the music and scenery better.
By the time I spawned Long Gui there was no reason to farm them for anything lol as already had the crystarium maxed. Its nice to have them there for a "fun" challenge now, though, but I feel like there is some rng involved in the success rate.
Whilst sacrifices are the best for gil, and long gui best for CP, they both have lower rates on the opposite resource. The toise round trip just seemed better for an all purpose farm to me. Any time spent on sacrifices is time wasted not getting a trapezohedron too (essential items basically unlesd the player is on their 10th run of the game and a speedrunner who doesn't need a T3 weapon for anything)

Thank you for watching it! I can't disagree with you about early grinding : ). It's on the video because there are some people who like being always as strong as possible or play with self imposed challenges like NEU or NCU.
And... I also had to show the math. People are often taken by the battle time and don't consider all the dead time involved.
@FinalFantasyGameplays yeah you did a really detailed video of all grind spots. For me I just moved on and grinded later that's all. Probably struggled more on certain bosses though as a result
Shaolong gui was a beast
I would just add something : Shaolong Gui is notoriously very RNG a single Bay can ruin your battle and force you to restart it.

Absolutely! Shaolong Gui’s RNG can be brutal sometimes. That's why I always keep it inflicted with daze most of the time and have a Tortoise paradigm to survive it. Thanks for watching the video!
