100% agree, klopp has set them up to win, they created enough chances and just fluffed their lines completely. Players let klopp down
Absolutely agree..the numbers of chances Liverpool miss in games lately have been outrageous especially Salah, Nunez and Diaz
I would not include Diaz in that .. he has been working his socks off in recent matches and has been very unlucky with some of his efforts !!
Nunez. The pattern is always this Nunez misses a one on one clear chance then the opposite team scores, then you start chasing
And the defensive mistakes as well, like Quansah's terrible backpass to Bruno and Konate's braindead clearance yesterday.
FFS: Diaz, do you actually watch football. Without Diaz weâd be f***ed ages ago. Nunez yes, Salah is injured.
get the youngsters back in they were too slow off the tracks league was there to be won
Liverpool were flying immediately after the announcement! This is down to the players! The Chances they miss are absolutely insane
Nahhh they were just lucky đ n playin nobodiesâŠthatâs all
Half of the PL is farmers league huh đ€
Then they lost the league
At Goodison Park
They lost the league at Goodison Park
â@Memblesberry already lost the league at Palace this just confirmed it
@@owen1563 fine
They lost the league
At Selhurst Park
They lost the league at Selhurst Park
Does that feel less painful for you?đ„ș
@Memblesberry thanks mate that does make me feel better lol but in all honesty city were always going to win the league there like a train in the last 10 games no stopping them best of luck to arsenal
I m not a Liverpool fan. Nor a Klopp fan. But, the guy won everything with Liverpool. Great manager for sure.
Won everything and didn't need a billion in investment either, did some brilliant sales and brought in quality at a very good price. His legacy is cemented.
@@Dragonaut111a billion investment wins you what klopp won in one season not nine tbf and if itâs just about money why are United and Chelsea so bad? Itâs more nuanced than just being about money
Nunez is the biggest reason for this !!
Nunez missed 85% of his open opportunities .
If Nunez scored in each of his chances , he would have 57 goals in all competitions.
Christiano Ronaldo in his prime in Nunez position wouldâve scored 81 times given CR7 scores even the impossible ones.
Let me put it to you this way ; all the respect to Chris wood who didnât start even half of Forest games , he has more goals than Nunez.
Come on !!!!
Partly Klopp, last throw of the dice and he leaves on Salah who was anonymous and Nunez, some league one players have better ball control and shooting ability then him and brings on Kostas and Gomez, surely that doesn't make sense to anyone. Throw on Danns and Gravenberch surely better options, very strange.
That's exactly what I said, too. Why not Dan's and Gravenberg or even Clark? These are the boys that are ready to deliver, and they've proven to be reliable in a situation like this in the past. Since he stopped using those boys, we've not been the same again. Jota, too, should be sold because he's always unavailable when he's most needed.
Have no idea why he started jones over gravenberch and endo. Needed to make changes at half time but as always he waits until the 63rd minute.
The kids carried us through a tough couple of months and as soon as the injured players came back he dropped them completely. Il miss klopp but not his stubbornness
but when the United players don't play for the 3rd, 4th, 5th manager in a row, it is all Ten Hags fault
Other way around. Ten Hags players have performed. He hasn't. Klopp has performed. His players have not. Ten Hag is awful. Klopp is amazing. Liverpool have 90 more shots fhan anyone else while Man.United have conceeded the 3rd most. This is a matter of players carrying Ten Hag and letting Klopp down. Only Frank De Boer (same philosophy) was a worse coach than Ten Hag since 2005 imo
â@@erikpuka2627 you're not even making any sense lol
ââ@@tinkerman4326I am. And you know I am. Simply put Ten Hag has not put his players in position to succeed while Klopp has. Ome is a crappy manager while the other one is great
@@erikpuka2627 The same crappy manager who finished in 3rd last season, won one trophy and lost another final...?!
The difference is Klopp has actually built a team and won major trophies, competed for multiple season against arguably the best team we've ever seen in the league.
Klopp made the substitutions. He took off Jones, who was having a good game and left on Salah, who hasn't had a good game since 2023. Salah has always missed chances but he used to make up for it with everything else he did. The last few games he has been a passenger. He brought on Endo, who is in a terrible spell of form. Then he took off our most dangerous player on the night, Robertson. For what? To make TAA feel better about getting subbed? We didn't lose the league at Goodison Park, we lost it when United knocked us out of the FA Cup. Since then we have been awful, Klopp chopping and changing for every game.
Jones is absolutely trash.
Totally down to players
Itâs odd everyone complaining about Klopp forget all of the endless chances we miss game after game after game!
Nunez open goal miss at Luton cost us 2 points.
4 sitters missed against palace cost us 3 points.
The 4 or 5 chances missed in Man Utd away game cost us 2 points. Same thing in the FA Cup game.
The 3 big chances missed by Diaz in the Man City game cost us 2 points.
The Trent off the crossbar against Arsenal cost us 2 points.
The 30 shots on goal at home to Man Utd cost us 2 points.
If we could finish weâd be so far ahead the league would have been over by now.
Attackers aren't finishing the chances, defenders taking too many risks and midfielders not covering the ground aggressively or fast enough.
Put it all together and you get average performances. What can Klopp do about that, we've also had plenty of games and injuries this season.
I would argue after last season we've not actually done that badly
Spot on , but like I've been saying since the fa Cup game the players are losing faith in one another chances are being missed continuously and now it's having an effect on the team as a whole and this is why there dropping of , its not so much fatigue it's more of a belief in the forward line taking there chances...
Spot on.
Itâs not Kloppâs fault. Nuñez canât hit a fricking barn door, Salah canât run past anyone right now. Their shot conversion rate is 5%. Itâs definitely on the players, especially the ones up front. The only blame Iâd give Klopp today is playing Konate ahead of Quansah.
Well actually it is because he puts him in the team, you got Danns, play the kid, he will make better attempts at goal then Nunez the clown
It is on the players 100% salah for example cant just go from being one of the best players in the world to what he is now for no reason! They should be ashamed its a waste of what could have been an amazing season
When Salah, Nunez & Diaz can't finish from 10 yards then that's not on Klopp. Klopp & Ljinders both threw their hands in the air. Liverpool should defend better though so as not to leave themselves in trouble when not scoring. The senior players that have come back from injury seem to be in some kind of pre season mode. The kids steered the season well before the seniors crashed it.
tbf his insistence on bringing Szobo, Salah, Nunez & Konate back into the starting line up; when all four have been shocking of late, didn't help matters. I get Jota was injured and Gakpo became a dad but there were other options.
Gakpo is a disgrace, title run in and heâs gone off like heâs the one giving birth
Today Simon also said Man United performance is down to the manager but when itâs Liverpool, itâs the players fault. đ€
1. Ten Hag is awful. United have conceeded the 3rd most shots in the Prem. Only manager I seen worse since 2005 is De Boer.
2. Klopp is amazing. Liverpool have 90 shots more than anyone else this year. This is simply a matter of Players letting down Klopp and dragging Erik Ten Hag.
Klopp has won everything in management pal. And they were flying this year. Its a bad patch.
There is a difference đ
This british media is so biased. They never blame Klopp or Poch. Ridiculous
@@erikpuka26271. Liverpool have conceded first in 22/34 epl games this seasonâŠwho are you blaming for that?
2. Ten Haag finished above Klopp last year
@@roykeane1922Liverpool have conceded first but is irrelevant cos they were fighting for the title and are in third
Nunez needs to place his shots and stop blindly blasting them and hoping !
I don't know how Virgil has the nerve to give that assessment last night. As the Captain it is precisely his job to to galvanize the Team on field when things are going wrong and he has come up woefully short across the season. He can't even control the back four which has an awful record of conceding early tin games this season. Can you imaging Gerrard or even Henderson letting the players put in performances like this past four weeks.
It has been a real joy to follow Klopp in Liverpool. I think many of his players are thinking where to go next, because their careers is not over and they will not retire as Klopp for now. I think that explains last weeks poor results. Just natural.
100percent
Think your right , same last season when they played bad there were all rumours saying the club was up for sale , and back room staff left and big money offers for Salah .
Salah seems like his mind ain't in Liverpool anymore.
Klopp should have stayed quiet until the end of the season. It's on the players but it's clear that Klopp leaving has demotivated the team. It always happens when players look to a new manager and a new regime and start thinking about their own futures. I think we'll find out next season that Klopp made a winning team out of some quite average players and could well have lifted the title again this season but for his departure announcement.
Simon makes a great point regarding Salaha . so why does klopp keep picking him and others that keep letting us down. bring back the kids they did great while half the team were injured. klopp is to blame as he to loyal to certain players that keep letting him down
Simon is spot on. I have been frustrated with our players the entire season, scrapping a lot of games, bad draws and losses we should have won. The bad starts had to come bite us at some point.
Simon Jordan making a great point... But why double standards... When Arsenal was creating lots of chances before December but players were failing to score, he said Arteta was believing his own hype and it was on him to go out and buy a 30 goal per season striker instead of buying Havertz... Though I don't know any decent strikers for 60 million, but that's a different argument.
What I'm saying is, when it's Liverpool missing chances it's the players and when it's Arsenal it's the manager... Which is it?
Absolutely notâŠKlopp fully responsible as the buck stops with the Manager. Keep fiddling with team unnecessarily is also the cause..no continuity.
Wayneâs right, since the announcement itâs slowly distracted the team and the uncertainty /speculation around the new Manager has made this worse. Very badly thought out announcement, couldâve easily avoided this unwanted attention. Look at MC/ARS they are playing freely without any of this pressure!
didnt arsenal feel the pressure against villa, they probally dont feel the pressure now because they know its in city's hands
Nunez is pretty much the opposite of Jota, we need strikers like Jota. No-one can complain about Klopp his legacy is cemented, won everything whilst maintaining a net spend way way below the other big teams. That deserves serious respect.
It's totally Klopps fault. He tells Nunez to miss, he tells Salah to be out of form đ«Ł the only thing that he's done wrong is announce he is leaving so early. Even then, I'm assuming the club made that choice to announce it when they did. Top manager, been let down by performances.
Have never rated Nunez or dias very poor strikers
diaz is the best. he actually works hard.
Diaz is poor đ Jesus
@@OGCrypto33 I want quality, not just effort.
â@@OGCrypto33Diaz and Nunez both work hard.....but they offer little else. They need 10 chances to score one
â@@OGCrypto33most fit liverpool fans would "work hard" if they were on that pitch
It's too easy to blame the manager; but he doesn't seem to have been himself the last couple of months. Although it's not his fault the forwards are missing sitters in so many matches.
Should have said he was leaving after the last game i said that when he announced it
Sorry performance by players feeling sorry for themselves and a tired Klopp just looking to the end of the season. No more energy left to want to change anything. The end of the season canât come quick enough for players, manager and now fans.
P.S Klopp made some wrong buys! Diaz is a good hard running winger ,can't finish , Nunes is not good enough for this LFC team & Salah's past his best.
Wonder if we'll get a war chest with the new manager.
How come with United it's always ten hags fault but with Liverpool it's the players?
Ten Hag hasnât won the PL and the CL or been h2h in a title race with city multiple times. He does not deserve the same grace as Klopp because he hasnât proven he can do it
Ten hags united are getting battered almost every game. He's spent 500 million and everyone of them is a flop. They still have no style of play. Compared to liverpool who have already won everything under klopp but have bottled it at the end.
Wonder why it's different
Klopp, 1 league in 9 years.
And you lost the league
At Goodison Park
You lost the league at Goodison Park
He does not have elite submissions at times. Talksport will fire him the following day. They trend on understanding Man United and make lots of money.
Every game is different no one knows what is going to happen on the pitch how many times does a team dominate and end up losing. It's all about the ball in the net as man city knew when they battered real Madrid but couldn't score and Liverpool did the same against crystal palace
The man randomly announced leaving mid season and clearly has checked out and left the players completely confused and without a leader. Sure itâs on the players for performance but who motivates them now?
The fan stating that Liverpool were flying has a short memory. Liverpool have stumbled through the season. Coming from behind as often as they have is commendable but it could never be sustained. Also Klopp cant be blamed for so many missed chances. As an Everton fan I have no real love for the man but the players need to shoulder the blame for this.
Didn't say this about Pep not winning the ucl for years though
Weird to think the front 3 are a weak point now.
Diaz is a tidy player but lacks explosive pace to stretch a team.
Salah is off form, maybe heâs not fully fit or maybe age is taking its toll. Hard to say atm.
Nunez is a wildcard. Technically quite average, touch is inconsistent, finishing is fairly poor with the occasional banger. Everytime he gets the ball I expect him to lose it, but still get excited by the prospect of him producing something, whichever more often than not never happens.
I'm an Everton fan, Klopp has been outstanding and I'm glad he's leaving. You cannot blame Klopp or turn on him now.
I wanted him out last season
To be honest, with the amount of new players Liverpool have had to integrate into their first team this season(McAlister, Endo, Gakpo, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Bradley), they have well and truely OVERACHEIVED.
Maybe if he did not announce he was leaving at the end of the month was a mistake. It's as if they have downed tools & accepted they will not win the league. The players have to take a long hard look in the mirror the buck stops there . Agree 100% with Jordan.
In the last couple of weeks or so I have been disappointed with the player selection.
Nunez, Salah, Diaz are scared in front of goal.
Trent can't defend.
Dom and Jones are mediocre lately.
You can't win with that.
Before the game I thought he should have gone with Danns, Clark, McConnell, Quansah since they had nothing to lose.
I love Klopp but he should have played the same team that won last game, just swapped Jota for Gakpo in the middle and played Nunez on the left and Diaz on the right. I don't want to burn out Harvey and Quansah but this was a critical game!
Emotions aside. Klopp and this team have overachieved. We underestimate replacing Mane,Firminho,Salah.Diaz & Nunes are never going to give you what the former front 3 delivered.
Liverpool players have let down the club
When it's Liverpool or Chelsea, it's the players who must take responsibility. When it's Man United, who have a recent and well documented history of players throwing those in charge under the bus, it's the manager đđź.
To a certain degree I agree, but Liverpool are set up to not have the ball, win it high up the pitch, a quick turn over and boom go for goal.
They are not coached to defend, and not coached to keep the ball.
If Liverpool defended ten yards back they would not have given space to teams to hit them on the break
Given all that Iâve just had Severn years of great fun home and abroad
I would like to see Liverpool buy players of quality now, and move on tacticly
Simon Jordan, Paul Merson and Gary Neville - best, incisive, insightful and most interesting analysts around. Their employers always post their clips on CZcams. They know
Well done Everton
It is 100% on Klopp! He played 4 players who have been well out of form lately playing absolutely terrible and he starts all of them. Salah, Szoboszlai, Konate and Nunez! None of them should of started and they was all awful again just as they have been in the previous games. Not good enough! Im glad he is going there is no plan B it's always 4-3-3 even when it isn't working it doesnt change. Im looking forward to some new ideas and players coming into the squad.
Liverpool, started to collapse against their bitter rivals, United. Turned to rubble by Everton, their Mersey rivals. There's irony!
No it's masonry that collapses into rubble.
@@maitaimik Sorry, Liverpool collapse into broken bottlers!
If it's the player's fault then I think vvd is a nice captain but I think Robertson would have been a far more effective choice.
We were top when playing the kids. Diaz' father does nothing but tout his son to La liga - sell him, Nunez needs 10 chances to score 1- sell him, Salah is starting to look his age- sell him to the Saudi league .
We need a CB (Hanko), another attacking midfielder (Koopmeiners) and Osimhen and we'd be challenging next season. The end of this season has been a disaster, but lets be honest, no one thought we'd be 3 points off the top with 4 games to go after being 5th last season.

I can agree with a lot of what you are saying Simon but not on Mo. He is an incredible professional who is having a bad run, its a slip in form and it happens to everyone, I will never questioned Mo's commitment, whether or not he leaves. He is not an individual who lets his standards slip. Nunez can be a clumsy footballer, go look at the number of times where a little precision was needed by him last night, Mo picks up the good spaces. Gakpo would have started last night if he was fit, he's brought a bit of precision to the team up front. You have Trent moving into midfield overloading that space and with Everton's structure it is tough to have that singular outlet off the right wing. Szoboszlai is showing his age in the second half of this season, he seemed to dive about the place and just hasn't been as dangerous as when he arrived. There is a serious player there, a break and reset is needed and he'll be back next season. It's funny how quickly you forget, Salah has been the benchmark in this league since his arrival a bit more respect needed there.
Pep isn't just the best in the world, He's THE GOAT đ
He's not even better than Roberto Martinez
Youre wrong 115 times over

Possibly, but where has he managed that had financial constraints? Every club he managed has spent a fortune and was already at the top of the league.
I'm not sure that he would be anything But another Neil Warnock/Steve Bruce without it. 115
âThe noise and the sizzle that goes around Klopp, there isnât as much searâ SJopinion
Salah/Nunez/Diaz is not a clinical front three. Salah has posted incredible numbers for us but he has always been capable of missing far more than he puts away. Nunez, as much as I love him can be a calamity in front of goal. With coaching and time I think heâll be fine. Diaz is a runner, a harrier and a creator not a scorer. Jota is the finisher but he doesnât offer as much to the team as the others do. Itâs probably time we replaced Salah and get as much as we can while he has value. It may also be time to move Diaz on as well but Iâd personally give him another year.
Liverpool this season have been getting a lot of results without playing well. Rode their luck in many games. That along with the quality of the manager has elevated them into the title race. Theyâve not actually been that good and Iâve been saying it all season
Some fans are mental, Liverpool would still be a team hoping for 4th place every year if they never got klopp, he was unlucky city had pep at the same time. Can't blame salah either he's not in form atm but hes been their main man and pl best player for the last 6 or so years.
Nunez needs to leave...not good enough.. Good to get refresh next year, some of the players have really let Klopp down. Trent would be on double digit assists if players could finish
if you don,t score , you give your opponent life. 22 times liverpool hit the post this season. Nunez has a return rate of about 20% on clear chances. Salah has fallen off a cliff. Diaz all pump. Jota gets targeted every game and ends up injured. Gakpo is hit and miss. The defence can,t defend . Trent was going through the motions. I think this team over achived this season.they are not that good.
Whenever it's Utd it's all Ten Hag's fault, but when it's Liverpool it's all the players fault. Classic Jordan!

Sometimes the head wants do some things but your body refuses... đą
Simon is saying that to save face as he's championed him as being Pepâs equal all season but the reality is very different. His job is to manage these players to perform for a full season. In most seasons under klopp, Liverpool have fallen away at the back end of the season because he refuses to adapt his style of play away from rock n roll football to something that is more sustainable over a full season!
Well observed! You can't continue to play such high energy kick n follow police ball all season sustaining the needed tempo.

Talksport in a nutshell
Man Utd: it is ETH's fault. He picked the players.
Liverpool: it's the player's fault.

It's not Klopp's fault when So-called strikers can't score from open play, inside the box or when so-called defenders can't defend their box and keep giving their opponents a tap-in.
Time for Jurgen to take a DRASTIC ACTION and DROP both SALAH & NUNEZ, for the West Ham match for young Jayden Danns
The Liverpool players are to blame, they were flying high when the kids were playing. They played with heart and guts.
They are overachieving this season,I think they just running out of steam to get over the line, these last ten games are the hardest part of the season.teams are fighting for Europe and relegation,no easy games now.
Agree itâs on the players, but Klopp shouldnât have started Jones over Endo
WRONG Simon. Everton are not a bottom half of table side. Theyâre easily top 8 if it wasnât for the penalty pointâs deduction
That quarter final FA Cup loss to Utd was too much for the Liverpool camp. Utd have been in their heads ever since and their season has disintegrated.
Since Man Utd game Klopp team selections have been bizarre
Absolute nonsense, we were still winning gakes well after he announced he was leaving. Blaming Klopp is lazy. It went downhill after the Atalanta game. The Fulham win was a smokescreen. The players have ler themselves and Klopp down. Klopp leaving isn't the reason why Salah/Nunez can't hit the back of the net. The players look physically and mentally spent. They look out of sorts and out of ideas on the pitch. That is something you can blame Klopp for as if somethings something isnât working, it's up to the manager to make adjustments. Klopp looks like he's checked out mentally.
Sir Jordanite = Top LAD Proper Clobber đŻ Facts
Once again, no mention of Everton playing well and deservedly winning the game. All about Liverpool not doing this and that. Liverpool have quality all over the pitch but at Goodison, Everton got it right. End of.
Klopp went public because news had already been leaked online. This is down to the players
Klopp was 100% to blame for the loss against Atalanta though. He played a full team against Sparta Prague at home when already 5-1 up....three days before losing to Man Utd in the FA Cup........and played a weakened team at home to Atalanta losing 0-3. Dumbest imaginable coaching. And Liverpool haven't recovered.......
When its ManU it is the manager, when its Liverpool its the players. Double standards.
The manager should have rectified the tactics on set-pieces. They cannot defend and couldnât do anything with the amount of corners they got
Simon Jordon reckons Klopp sounded deflated, how can he say that when Klopp had a big beaming smile on his face as Evertons goals were going in.
I`m confused.
All good things come to an end
Slash Van Dyke and Nunez are all shite as need to go in the summer. Klopp shouldnât have announced he was leaving. Donât be surprised if Liverpool fall off a cliff next season.
Salah provided us at least 15 assist opportunities this seaon that should have been goals, even with this game there were 2 that should have been goals that the team did not capitalized on. It's not Salah, it's the execution of the whole team. Defense is looking just as bad if not worse than striking. We're lucky Salah gave these opportunities- not his fault the team didn't capitalized on it.
Liverpool only winning one trophy this season is good for the incoming manager, imo.
Don't always agree with Simon but i have to on this one the players are already elsewhere and have thrown klopp under the bus having said that i said when pundits started saying Liverpool will win this and that we'd win nothing else and crack under the pressure and they have. Im also a little disappointed in klopp i think wed have got something last nite if hed have put a couple of young players on at half time or say 55 60 minutes instead of leaving players on that are obviously already looking at the exit door. These youngsters helped us massively a few weeks ago when we had a good few injuries and klopp was singing about how good they are but now he doesn't seem to want to give them a chance to change a game. Klopps whole attitude has changed over the last few weeks imo hes gone from a bottle of champagne that's been shaken for a week and popped open to a bottle that's been opened and left on the side for a month.
There is no way conceding first in 22/34 games is not a managerial problem. Pure sycophant is Simon. Theyâve bottled it
Lol it's never on Klopp đ đ đ despite Klopp being the manager with the longest Tenure in the league...he has managed to win only 1 league title in the PL..... He is 10000000 times totaly right! They play that much awful not just yesterday, they did that since a few matches. Every match they are going worse and worse.
I want the likes of thiago, matip, salah, jones, tsimikas, Adrian, diaz gone this summer and if possible any bid on nunez and kelleher please sell them. A massive clearout is needed at this club. No emotional attachment with these players time 2 b ruthless
Apparently when Liverpool lose itâs the players fault yet when Man United lose it is the managers fault, funny that.
