    Excellent tip Doug.👌
    I will add that the same applies to the differentials. Most people think that the vent line is just for keeping water out, but if you put a catch can with a return, you can be sure the differentials have the proper levels as well.🤙

      That's a great idea, I've actually been having issues with a diff puking out the breather, even at the correct level. Time to get me an overflow bottle

    Nice work! I'd like to see a tech video on adding a 1BAR to my crankcase. Where to tap for it, and what would the readings mean in the logs. A good follow-up to that would be coolant pressure (where to place the sensor), and then a backpressure sensor and how to decode that data in your logs.

    I don’t race my car but I performed a trans fluid flush on my 2017 Camaro SS. I believed that a dealership flush was done but was unsure. Glad I did it myself as the level was 2 quarts low which would happen if you don’t check the fluid level properly.

    That’s why I left my pan off after I installed my lock in dip stick to check where the true full mark is on my th400.

    Any videos of how and where is best to install like how it is put into the system example trans lines or vent tube only ?

    Your presentations are getting much better. You may want to consider not saying “ To tell you the truth” I have already assumed you are telling me the truth. Maybe say “what I have found is....” or “ our experiences have shown us”. You may also use a dry erase board to illustrate your verb length examples.

    What kind of force would cause the pan to get sloshed like that because I'm doing 2.04 60fts in my big daily driver and I'm having shifting issues but seemingly only at the track, street pulls fine if I roll into it. I might try something like this before I tear apart the transmission.

    I was always told that overfilling a trans can cause the fluid to foam and damage a trans

    • @barryacromp6775
      @barryacromp6775 Před 2 lety

      Trans fluid has anti foaming properties factored in its ingredient formula overfilling normally causes weeping from the vent hence the need for a catch can.

  • @irvingbar4569

    Im having that problem when I get on it it pukes from the breather can it be a bad converter 5.3 ls to a built th400 2500 stall happens when I hit 80 mph

    • @irvingbar4569
      @irvingbar4569 Před 2 lety

      I did over fill the transmission but you would think it would puke the extra fluid until its happy I hope this overflow can helps

  • @ClarksAutoAndPerformance

    Do you plan on making a lid without a weep hole? Run the top fitting to the coolant catch can.

    • @JBarnes917
      @JBarnes917 Před 2 lety

      Why would you want to run it to the coolant catch can?

    • @JBarnes917
      @JBarnes917 Před 2 lety

      @@motoweenies4431 then you have the chance of trans fluid in your coolant or coolant in your trans fluid… both sound stupid

    • @JBarnes917
      @JBarnes917 Před 2 lety

      @@motoweenies4431 no let’s say you pop a head gasket, it pressurizes the cooling system and that pushes coolant now back to the trans. You had something simple that just took out your $10,000 trans.
