    For those who land here, there are a few very good books out now, which is how I landed here a year later. This tutorial goes very well with those books in terms of what to expect handling the wire, bullion, Zardozi, omg so many names! 😂

    Thank you for this wonderful video. I have fallen headfirst into embroidery obsession, and your attention to detail is so inspiring. Don't mind me, instant following all of your instagrams socials 😁
    One day, seeing a timelapse of one of your pieces (such as the collar or cuffs of your sansa coronation gown) would be amazing. They are so layered and complex, I can't even imagine what goes first. Being able to piece it together would be so helpful for my own practise.

    • @amazoniancosplay
      @amazoniancosplay  Před rokem

      There's always going to be a risk of tarnishing as it is metal! If the embroidery does get wet, dry it asap!

    Hi all, can we do goldwork embroidery on clothes? If yes, how can we clean the clothes? is hand washing or dry cleaning safe for the metalic elements? Many thanks.

    • @amazoniancosplay
      @amazoniancosplay  Před měsícem +1

      This sort of embellishment is for garments that don't need to be washed! So outer garments etc worn over chemises etc. you can spot clean the fabric or do a vodka spray to refresh, but you can't get the embroidery wet or have it dry cleaned or it will be damaged

    Which technique would be more accurate to how the Shadow and Bone keftas look? The felt or the string technique?

    • @amazoniancosplay
      @amazoniancosplay  Před 2 lety

      Felt! The goldwork on the keftas is pretty flat. I'm using 4mm felt for my own kefta goldwork as it's ever so slightly raised
