Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is by far Disney's best attraction ever made. It looks and feels so real, and it really seems like you are in a galaxy far, far away. Hope the parks can reopen soon.

Funny that Disney post this as rumors are becoming stronger they are going to ditch the sequel timeline and put it into the Mandalorian timeline. Seeing the Razorcrest instead of Kylos ship would be awesome.
Well even though the Sequel Trilogy was a mess, I actually would’ve fixed Episodes 8 and 9 rather than ditching it out
They spent over a billion dollars building one attraction trust me they're not going to retheme anything already.

Was here when it opened. Was amazing but very crowed, can’t wait to visit again to spend. More time with less people in the land and enjoy Myself and also ride Resistance Because that wasn’t open yet when I visited the laNd a year ago

3:33 I've not been to latest park, but why aren't there any miniature space ships flying across the open evening sky, controlled by a 2 point horizontal gables system. I think this would enhance the Star War magic.
When ever I get to go it sucks when it gets close to closing time, I just go and stare at the Falcon, feels like a dream beings there.
I get that they were going for this whole new planet/world with all new characters and etc., but the problem is people who are not big Star Wars fans are going to be confused. I've taken so many people to Galaxy's Edge and they kept asking me where Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Boba Fett, and Yoda were and I had to sadly tell them they are not in this Star Wars-themed land. They got really disappointed and were confused about why Kylo Ren was there and did not seem to care. Honestly, Disney should have stuck to their original plans. For those who don't know, the original plan for Galaxy's Edge was to be based on the Original Trilogy as shown in the early concept arts. Due to the success of The Force Awakens, Bob Iger and Lucasfilm decided to change the theme of the land to the sequel trilogy.
I’m a bit torn on it. On the one hand I totally get why people would be disappointed there aren’t really any of the more popular characters. On the other I absolutely love the idea of the total immersion of this world and I think too much emphasis on having all the characters there would break it. I think your right that it should be original trilogy era instead of sequel but overall I really like their approach

It's really well done. I would develop the forest path into a projection avenue of a Mandalorian scene. think of a roman basilica curved & covered with the projections starting above you. practical effects everywhere. holograms. entrances and exits to retail / food / cantina / experiences

Good luck trying to get on Rise Of The Resistance lol. You gotta join the queue at exactly 6:59:59am and be lucky you don’t get a message saying its full. I’ve tried HUNDREDS of times and had 💩 luck. I go all the time cuz I live close. I wish I could have more fun there if I had better luck

Yea but the crowds sucked and resistance wasn’t open yet so I had to miss that. I was very impressed but very upset at the same time for those reasons but I’ll be back again someday to fully enjoy it

I love the immersion in this land, but you guys need to stray away from the ride being “canon”. I want to go to a Star Wars land to experience EVERYTHING about Star Wars. Not just the sequels..
Well they never said everything in Galaxy’s Edge was canon. Sure the Black Spire Outpost was mentioned in a scene in Solo, but the stuff in the area itself isn’t entirely canon, and not everything about it is based on the sequels. I mean, even though the story of the land is said to take place between TLJ and ROS, in Rise of the Resistance, Kylo Ren still has his mask like it was somehow never destroyed. And other than Rise of the Resistance and some character pop ups/meet and greets, the rest of the land itself is mainly an original concept with hidden Easter eggs and elements to many other Star Wars stuff outside of the sequels, they even have holocrons on sale in one of the stores.
@@Sorcerer-SMC well ya ofc random people coming into the black sire outpost, building lightsabers and droids is not canon lmao. But the whole story of it and the time it takes place in is itself canon. And the reason they have Kylo rens mask still, is because it’s more likely to draw kids and people to go see him rather than some guy In a black costume. Ofc there are secrets and Easter eggs all over the land, but all I’m saying is that I wish it wasn’t just set around the sequels. Ofc they are gonna have merchandise like the holocrons for sale. The shop is supposed to be decades worth of antiques. Plus it’s just a selling point for Disney to have various things from the star wats universe, but you don’t actually experience much from anything outside of the sequels. Look at the rides for example, they are most likely not gonna make any rides related around the clone wars due to it not fitting in around their canon “story”. If you’re going to a Star Wars land, they should have it be centered around more than just the sequels for the most part. Plus, you’re only gonna see first order storm troopers walking around. No clone troopers or imperial storm troopers. You’re also not gonna see darth Vader, only Kylo ren. Because it all has to fit according to the time period. That’s what I’m saying, the land is amazing but I wish they would include thing still from the older Star Wars films and lore. I would much rather see a republic gunship rather than Kylo rens shuttle. They prioritized the sequels within this land which limited what they could do
@@TheTarikEllinger I understand what you mean, and your wish is potentially going to come true because even though they’re keeping Rise of the Resistance (hopefully because that’s a pretty amazing ride), the rest of the land however is going to be supposedly re-themed after The Mandalorian. So expect Kylo’s shuttle to probably be replaced with The Razor Crest

No one wants to make "their own" Star Wars story. They want to live the story they saw in the movies. This is the reason Galaxies Edge is underperforming. Universal Creative understood this when they made both of the Wizarding Worlds of Harry Potter.

The concept of Batuu/The Black Spire Outpost itself is actually pretty interesting, and besides the Rise of the Resistance ride (which actually is pretty amazing) and some character appearances, everything else is actually original concepts
It might be an opinion but it’s a far more popular one than your take on it. Galaxy’s Edge lacks true Star Wars content. I’ve watched Rey walk though the land numerous times with NOBODY trying to take her photo or paying any attention yet Chewbacca is swarmed by people. Does this not tell you anything?
On another note, Galaxy's Edge is still flopping. While episode 7 was alright, episode 8 & 9 were terrible. Episode 8 reminds me of the writing degradation of Luke Skywalker and Episode 9 not only for pointlessly having a new version of the emperor, but also making Darth Vader's sacrifice pointless.
It's time to get rid of the sequel trilogy theme. Either have an Original Trilogy setting like originally planned or base the land off the Mandalorian. Also do something about the lack of reliability on the part of Rise of Resistance's ride mechanism.

Park goers have zero connection with Batuu. Added to the failure of the most recent movies. Great decision making Scott and Kathleen. I bet Bob is rethinking it now. Universals Harry Potter world IS popular because you are in the movies. Imaging if universal built something in the Harry Potter universe but nothing to do with the movies.
