Mitch does have the best voice ever. They were interviewing PTX and asked Kirsten about their acceptance to be on the Sing-Off. She said she cried because now the world would be able to hear Mitch sing.

You know we Pentaholics say that they don't do covers... they do upgrades! Everything they touch turns to gold. I've seen so many reactors who didn't like some song, but loved their cover of that song. I hope they'll do the same for you with Imagine.
Oh yeah. Pick any Christmas song that you would hate. Flat out can't stand. Listen to the PTX version, and you'll love it and refuse to listen to any other version.
Plus, he got hit hard with the PTX 2x4. Now he needs to listen to Amazing Grace

I've never been a fan of "Imagine" either, but their video brings out something that turns it into more than the original presented. Another one that sticks with you is "Havana". I love it.
I've been humming Havana for the last 2 days!
I felt like “Imagine” was just so played out. I would change the channel every time it came on. But Pentatonix brought it back for me, the appreciation of the poetry and the message that had become so stale!
The message through their version is so much deeper and meaningful to me. I never paid the other much attention. Maybe because I'm more "woke" now than I was then. LOL. It feels so appropriate for these times.

I truly believe this one will get them their 4th Grammy. This is so stunningly beautiful it's my favorite song off their Evergreen album. Your reaction was pure excitement and I love that you're always so excited about them.

Definitely do Imagine sooner rather than later. They sing the song beautifully, but the message in the video is incredible.

They released a song called 'Thank You' - an original of their own - in the Christmas of 2020/21, just as the second lockdown was kicking in due to COVID. The combination of the timing, along with the heartfelt lyrics and visuals of the video, meant that next to nobody who watched it could get through it without tearing up; it perfectly summed up how EVERYONE was feeling around that time. So yeah, definitely add that one to your list, along with 'Imagine' and 'Say Something.'
I still have a little cry when I watch/listen to this one - it really hits home for me.

One of my faves is "Sing"! It's a real upbeat, feel good song and makes you want to get up and move. Try it out, if your feeling down it will pick you back up.

I absolutely love their Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone). I hear bagpipes in their voices.
"Bagpipes in their voices" is a PERFECT description, Wanda. I've also heard another reactor (can't remember the name, unfortunately) from Ireland say that Scott's voice has a Celtic lilt in his solo at the song's beginning, and I agree.
If you want two songs where Kirstie shines, "Amazing Grace" and "Seasons of Love" fit the bill. High harmonies galore.
Also maybe start some originals like ‘be my eyes’ or ‘love me when I don’t’
“Water” is great - Pop Spring Concert - and “Be My Eyes” is a favorite.
Scott and Mitch going back and forth is just amazingly beautiful. Ptx does have some music videos with a different language. Usually Scott takes the lead in those. They’re pretty impressive.
Kirstie takes the lead in Perfume ( Japanese) IIRC, but yeah...Scott in Papaoutai is phenomenal!

So many great PTX covers and originals. I love “Amazing Grace” (look for Mitch’s wings), “Little Drummer Boy,” “Imagine,” and “Mary Did You Know.” My favorite original is “Be My Eyes.”
This reaction was AWESOME! You honestly looked emotionally spent by the end of the video. So emotional! Here's a funny thing-I live in San Diego, Ca. and I have that same dust issue in MY room when I play ANY Pentatonics song too! Go figure! I concur completely that Mitch has the most amazing male voice I have ever heard. There are times when he is singing that I forget to breathe! I truly believe that Pentatonics was put together by God to heal our troubled souls. They may not know it, but I do. Each and every member is a healer.

Imagine made me cry more than the prayer did. the way they did it stops my breath everytime. even if the original never really worked for you try the Pentatonix upgrade.
You'd love Anchor. It doesn't have a video though. It's seriously beautiful. And the Billie Eilish cover of 'When the Party's Over' is Mitch heavy. The harmonies are glorious in that one.
And yeah, as others have mentioned, you need to do Mitch's version of 'Your Power'. You'll need to keep a hold on your jaw for that one...

You can watch any part of it again bc we love it obviously. Loved your reaction. I agree Mitch has a once in a lifetime voice like Whitney houston. There is a behind the scenes to this video and Scott said this was the best thing they had ever done. There is also a filming of them recording their latest Christmas album where they all listen to the final mix together and that's great!!

This has become my new Pentatonix favorite! Scott Hoying, in particular, did an amazing job singing Italian! I love this group and hope they never stop performing together! I've added to my bucket list that I'd love to see them perform in person at Christmas time! Btw, it's always Amazing Grace that makes me cry. That was my father's and his favorite dialysis nurse's favorite hymn. God, I miss him!

It is truly amazing what comes out of these five people and how it makes us feel. I have cried over many of their songs, not a sad cry but a cry of appreciation of how they make me feel. Never be afraid to show your emotions when you hear something as magnificent as what they sing. I'm 71 and have never and I mean never heard such beautiful music produced by five people. AND they do it with just their voices.

It made me extraordinarily happy how much you appreciated this. I feel like it's one of the most beautiful vocal performances I have ever heard in my life and should have been up for a Grammy. Also, I agree about Mitch. I know there are a lot of phenomenal voices out there, four of them standing right there, actually; I certainly haven't heard them all, and I am not an expert on vocals, but on a personal level, the very particular quality of his voice, (and not just his high range, his voice in general) just really speaks to me. It like, heals my cells or something, I don't know. It sinks into my bones. I do believe in sound healing, so maybe it actually does heal my cells, lol. If so, thanks for healing my cells, Mitch! Pentatonix collectively 100% literally makes my body vibrate like a tuning fork when they harmonize. That's those shivers everyone talks about. Who knows, maybe they are healing the whole world, lol. If so, thanks for healing the world, Pentatonix! I wrote that thinking I was being hyperbolic, but maybe not, now that I think about it. It might just be literal. * shrug *

There are many beautiful voices out there today. Some win-over their fans...and some even reach the hearts and souls of their listeners quite effectively. Seldom can one claim that there are singers that actually have the ability to capture, claim and own the souls of their fans, which there are many. This is PENTATONICS. Each voice individually is awesome. But together...OMG...there is a blend of both beauty and power. The Pentatonics version of this prayer song makes me cry. I feel like I've said my prayers, offering my heart and soul to God. "Absolutely powerful...stunningly beautiful...totally uplifting!!!" Thank you, PTX!!!

The first time I heard this song, I said out loud "Mitch sounds like a literal angel". He always sounds amazing, but there was just something different about this opening verse
I adore Scott's voice in this song. He doesn’t often have a lead in his mid-lower register like in this one. And Mitch's voice is just like clear crystal. All of them are absolutely incredible!

You might know this already but Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie started singing in their harmonies in high school. They've perfected the art of harmonizing. When they won the Voice a capella competition Mitch, Kirstie, and Scott were only 19 years old. Their evolution as singers has only begun been astounding. They just keep getting better and better. I love your reactions to PTX.

It was my first time hearing this one for myself. This was soul touching for me. They sound so angelic to me. Not only that, the whole performance is totally touching. I cry almost every time that I hear them also. Amazing!

I’ve heard this a million times by now but watching your eyes well up and your breathing get shallow made me feel the song’s power as much as it did the first time. I’m so happy that my two musical loves- Pentatonix and BTS- have brought you so much joy.
I love Mitch's voice too. I am always taken aback by it every time I hear it. I think he was the shyest one when they were on the, Sing Off. You could tell that he wasn't very secure with his voice. I believe he'd said he was teased in school. I hope he's come to know that he has the most incredible voice and that he has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. I am in love with his voice!!!!
I agree their harmonies truly are fantastic and it's a major reason why I love them so much. Count myself lucky to have seen them live 3 times.
