- This is the final part of our 2021 cruise from our home port of Portishead to the south coast of the UK. In this last leg we round Lands End on our way from Falmouth to Cardiff and then on to Portishead.
We hope you have enjoyed this 10 part series. This episode rounds up the cruise with some dolphins, night cruising and a visit to Penarth Marina.
Our boat is a 2005 Nordhavn 47 which we named 'Wanderlust'.

I like this guy,down to earth 👍👍👍
Really enjoyed your 10 part trip.Keep up the reporting and i will watch it.
Just watched all the series. Very enjoyable, Thanks .
I've seen your entire series. Thought it was excellent and I really appreciate all the time you spent putting it together. cheers!
I thank you for your appreciation.
Very well done.Looking forward to your next one, especially with the new dog.😄😺
Thank you so much for those nice and interesting videos. I really enjoy. Alan Brussels.
merci pour ces vidéos que je découvre vous avez un super bateau j'adore.
Look forward to your 2022 vlogs, and the puppy.
I watched the entire 2021 cruise, very interesting. You did miss some good anchorages enroute, one in Mounts Bay for example, would have been useful to time the voyage around Land's End and up channel. I really like the boat too, and you obviously do too! Very clean and ship shape! Good luck and fair weather! John
Great video, looking forward to the next.
looking forward to 2022 cruise
Eagerly awaiting your next video (they're so well done), and curious where your 2022 travels will take you.
Thoroughly enjoyed your vlogs and the journey with you.
Excellent end to the tour , do enjoy your comments on the other boaters , getting in the way and speeding a bit , look forward to this year's offering and the new crew member
Great video series.
Hi from Bahrain. Your videos are amazing. Hope to see you one at a marina perhaps one in Bahrain or Dubai. Wishing best of luck
Enjoyed your journey
really enjoyed watching these 10 parts video's, can't wait for 2022 video's
We often go between Penzance and St Mary’s and its marvellous to have the company of dolphins. Thks for your videos and too see my fav. boat!
Thankyou for a great 10 parter. Really enjoyed it. Hope you get the chance to do another cruise in 2022 and have the opportunity to record your adventures. Hope the new crew member settles into the routine and once he/she arrives hope you don't fall too far down the family pecking order too far. Keep us updated on the upgrade / maintenance video's because, strangely, i do enjoy them. You mentioned previously that you watch Elisabeth and her Nordhavn MV Freedom video's, but have you come across a Dutch chap called Henk_jan and his boat Motor Vessel Lady Liselot ? he has an interesting channel.
Thanks for putting me onto Hen_jan’s channel, I hadn’t heard of him before.
Just found your channel, amazing. We have watched all 10 parts of this cruise and now intend to catch up on all your other videos. We have just entered back into boating after a 25 year absence and are now looking to purchasing our own little boat. Your videos are well edited, informative and fun to watch. Looking forward to the 2022 series. Regards Rich and Lisa
Thank you very much for your comments. A lot of time and effort goes into making the videos and I mainly do it because occasionally I get nice comments like yours as a reward.
@@Bloater Your knowledge is excellent, I’ve just done my Day Skipper Theory, the idea of being out in open sea at night is a little daunting, but, I’m looking forward to it. Will you be announcing your plans for this year soon?
Enjoyed all the videos, looking forward to this year
Very nice video.
Thank you for taking us with you. Looking forward to the next one.
nice vidios thank you
well done yes watched your adventure very economical vessel however would the fuel still be at it best after three years, look forward to 2022 trip
I periodically add some fuel stabiliser called Stanadyne. Having said that the fuel was 9 years old in the tanks when I bought the boat… and it ran just fine.
Hi, are you planning further ventures? Scillies, Hebrides? All the best.
Could you turn the music down when you talk it's a bit hard to hear you, love the films.
Any news on this year's adventure , always looking for ideas ? Thx
Meandering on deck might be 'safe', but what if you spot something you need to alter course for...?
Hi, everything is happening at a slow 7 knots so if you spot something ahead when on deck you have enough time to reach the controls and take action. Same goes for when you make a drink or use the heads. After a few night voyages you become less worried about small bits of debris because you can’t see anything anyway… and you just plod on never ever knowing what you just missed.
what was the day/night temps ?
I don’t remember the exact temperatures but it went over 30’C whilst we were in the Isle of Wight and we had the aircon running some days. We didn’t use the heating at all though during the whole cruise.
Its a good try and well done for making the effort but a guy with a Nordhavn 47 and the open sea should really be a bit more interesting No ?
