- In today's inspiration video, I am making prayer quilts. They are 6-1/2 inches square and would make a perfect gift. These sew up really fast and I only used scrap fabrics and scrap wood for the wooden crosses. Enjoy!

I was looking for ideas for a lady from church who has recently moved to assisted living. What a great idea! I'm not good with my sewing machine like you. I appreciate you saying i can just use my grannies old pieces and bits. I've got lots of grannies quilt pieces, unfinished and such. Thank you so so much. ❤️
You could most certainly hand sew these gems as well. That would make them even more special. I'm not that good with my sewing machine (yet). LOL. My Mother-in-law gave me a vintage machine in 2015 - that was the first time I used a sewing machine. I then upgraded to my little Brother SQ9185. I picked it up when they had it on sale. It is perfect for me. I am still learning but I only use fabric scraps so I don't even worry about perfection. I have one quilt top from my Gramma and I really want to get it quilted.
