Love love love precious little Gouves. Came here for the first time last year and can't wait to go back in 3 weeks. Some people have said it's a bit run down. I prefer the word * authentic * and * unpretentious *. This sweet little corner of Crete has charm and a population of the nicest , friendliest most genuine people I've met. My big , macho husband was almost in tears at having to leave last year and so was I. Roll on the 24th September and long live Gouves. Please never change.

My favourite place to stay.............The Astirbeach Hotel, brilliant place.
Brought back so many memories, we use to stay at the kilo apartments, the best thing for us , it felt like a really safe place , everyone is so friendly, I wish I could go back

been to gouves 2016,2017,2018,and again this october ,its a lot quieter than malia and stalis .but plenty to see
