From girl groups, YES. I do love IVE and Newjeans songs, but O.O was the ish
istj is probably one of my favourite examples of a 2-in-1 in kpop. i honestly hope that nct as a whole dabbles with genre switches in more comebacks because they do it pretty well as we've seen in resonance by nct 2020

Fyi Girls Generation broke into American Market way before BTS did, so yeah 2nd gen K-pop was not just limited to Japanese and Korean market :)
ah thank you! i just meant in the sense that, i felt like earlier generations were prioritizing other places over america more vs now
