- in this video i talk about the two cameras that i use the most on a daily basis, and that is the voigtlander bessa r2a and the fujifilm x-pro 2. both of these cameras have different use cases and i use them based on the conditions and how i feel that day. both of these have a 35mm focal length attached to it as that is my favourite focal length!

Love the edits! Love the additional bit of education! Love the video! Such an awesome video, keep it up!
Loved your video, opinions, insights, and that your video actually has calm colors like film... subscribed!
Thanks for sharing, I love the look you gave this video, so creative and authentic looking.
This was really beautifully made, loved this video
beautiful cameras! 😍
Great job here, I like the natural sounds and background in the video.
We need to have more videos like this, keep up the good work !!!
Nice review and super cool setup! Keep on going with the video, you did really well :)
Such a chill video, loved the natural ambient sounds! I have an X-T4 and I can't believe it took me so long to get into the fujifilm system, I just keep getting consistent results! Thanks for sharing your setup with us 😁
thanks so much for watching! perhaps i should film outside more ahah 😆 so glad you’re enjoying the fujifilm system, it really is the best 💛
My favourtie youtuber!!! LOVE THIS SO MUCH ROOMIE
ah thank you so much 🥺 miss you lots!!
Glad this setup works for you! Digital and Film is the best win win in my book.
i appreciate it!! and definitely agreed, there’s a place for both ☺️
Such a chill video! Love the birds singing in the background 😆 nice setup for everyday photos too, I like how they’re pretty much interchangeable. I should take more photos with my Fuji XT4, right now I’ve been delegating it for mostly video work, while I empty my wallet on film🙃. Fuji is a nice system ❤️
thanks for watching bon! and ahah the birds were definitely a nice touch, but the ants weren't 😭 definitely a very versatile setup, and can totally relate to emptying my wallet on film 🥲
Thank you for the informative video. I’m considering trading my xe4 for the x pro 2 and am wondering if you could share your thoughts.
Love that BESSA, I own the X-PRO3 and LOVE IT!
Great video! This was released on my birthday... I also have the Xpro 2 paired with 35mm 1.4r - it's amazing I think you would love it! Voightlander set up has now caught my eye! Your video production is stunning. Keep posting - subscribed!
ah thanks so much, that means a lot!! ❤️❤️
Love how you edit your digital files, couldn’t differentiate them from film! I am also a fan of your work on Instagram 😁
thank you so so much!! i appreciate your support 😁 and likewise, also am a fan of your work on instagram!
Very good collection of the pros and cons of both cameras. I have the same pleasure except that I use the Fuji XE-4 wich is even ligther than the XPro. I could understand your speech very well although I'm a non native listener. I liked that you talked straight about the topic without long and enoying pre stories. Thank you. Regards from Hamburg, Germany😀
Great video breakdown of your setup! I have a very similar setup, a Fuji XPro 1 and my Leica M2. It’s such a powerful setup and I use them daily. My Leica for more documentary work and my Fuji for daily shooting.
wow that a similar setup! thanks for watching! and your setup sounds amazing too, i bet the leica is a joy to use ☺️
I owne the xpro-2 for the same reasons. Love your work. And you are so cute !!
love the colours!
thank you so much!! thanks for watching 😊
enjoyed your video! great. now i want a bessa! lol. i had the same fuji set as you with an m6. traded the xpro2 and lenses for an m-p 240.
Great break down! I'm purchasing the X-pro2 with a 23mm f1.2 Voigtlander lens. I am looking forward to utilizing the film simulations and recreate Kodak 800 and Kodak TMAX 3200(b&w) simulation with the Xpro2. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
How's your experience with the Voigtlander 23mm f1.2 and the X-Pro 2? From what I know it seems the X-Pro2 is not compatible with the lens, but have you been able to get things like exif data or parallax correction?
Really nice explanation and two great cameras! (I kind of made the same decision for the same reasons - moved from Canon DSLR to X100V and a Nikon FM2t.)
wow, that's amazing! hope you're enjoying your setup :)
That was a beautiful video presentation 😊
thank you so so much! that is very much appreciated 💛
just in case you have not done it yet , pop on the Voigtlander lens on the Xpro 2 , happy joy , best option .
Love it
Love your vids
thanks so much! 🥰
great video and photos
wow your style.. PEAK
aw that is so kind, thank you! ☺️🫶🏼
The X-pro line is amazing. I wish I could justify buying an x-pro 3 but I always find myself shooting film haha. The Voigtlander is gorgeous too.
the x-pro line is such a beautiful collection of cameras!! and that is too true, film always ends up being in my hands rather than a digital camera 😊
Such a genuine review. Really well done! I too have the XPro-2, but swapped the 23mm f2 for the 27mm f2.8. the 27mm captures things as my eye sees it a lot better imo. A lotta times with the 23mm, i would see a composition, take the shot, and review it on my desktop only to be disappointed because it looks different to what I saw in the moment. Im picking my my camera more on more with the 27mm mounted now.
Btw, i like the neck straps. Where'd you get it?
thank you!! and the 27mm is a great focal length too, i may have to try it one day. and the straps are from fieldwork company!
The 27mm also makes for a compact travel setup. The newer 27mm adds some water resistance and an aperture ring. Aside from that the image quality is the same for me.
cute ☺
the bessa is such a nice camera!
the bessa is such an amazing camera 🙌🏼
@@jaycielinh I want to get a 35mm film camera soon too 😅
Probably going to end up with a Canon AE1
@@Havenotats yess! can't wait for those photos!
Awesome video! Curious where is the camera strap from?
Like your energy
Great video! How is the front viewfinder glass of the xpro 2 holding up? I’m curious to get an xpro 3 but I don’t know how durable the front viewfinder glass is and how it will hold up to use over time
Jaycie, thanks for making the video. Can i ask where you purchased your neck strap for the cameras?
love the videos i was wondering were do you get ur camras from im looking to get it to film iv been shooting with digaqtal for 3 years on my sony a7iii and yeah just really intrested in film now a days lol
thanks for watching!! if you’re looking for film cameras, you can check to see if your grandparents or if your local thrift stores have any! if not, you can check your online local marketplace or ebay for film cameras ☺️
Great
2:12 Those recipes usually come with recommended exposure compensation values. I have started to put those values in front of the name of the recipe so I don't have to remember them. So that would be for example: C2:+1 Portra 160. ;)
On other Fuji cameras the exp. comp. value is part of the custom profiles btw.
that is a great tip! i may have to start doing that!
Looking to get the 23mm f2 with the same square hood for my xpro3, but i’m curious if the hood gets in the way of the OVF?
How u make your composition of r2a right ? I heard about the thing that what you see in the viewfinder frame will end up being different than the result ? Thx new to the film photography just wanna know about this
there are frame lines for 35mm,50mm,75mm and 90mm to help guide your composition! they’re not 100% accurate, just guidelines ☺️ so you may have to crop to get your desired results
Hi There,
Does the Bessa R2A show the automatically selected shutter speed in the viewfinder when you are shooting in aperture priority mode? For example - if you are shooting in aperture priority mode in low light and set your aperture wide open does it show 1/30 Shutter auto selected in the viewfinder while metering? If not, I guess you don't know what shutter speed the camera auto selects which would suck if it picks something slow and blurry without realizing... I am considering buying the R2A but trying to find this information first.
hi there, yes the camera tells you what shutter speed is selected when you’re shooting in aperture priority! when you half press the shutter you’ll see the speed light up before you shoot!!
@@jaycielinh Thanks!!
it didnt even cross my mind to have both my digital and 35mm with me with just different length straps so i can still 1 side shoulder it
ahah definitely an efficient way to carry your cameras!
35 or 16 mm for my Fuji?
i've only ever tried the 23mm! i'd say 35 if you prefer more bokeh/portraits and 16 if you're looking to capture a wider landscape!
What I hate on the Bessa is that it tilts, the straplugs are shit haha..
Literally doing the same by accident
I MISS YOUR FACE
