- Harry Ferguson with all the features that had proved successful in previous models developed the much loved and admired TE20. The initiative was backed by the British Government and was built by the Standard Motor Company Banner Lane, Coventry. The factory had been used as an ammunition factory during the war.
Harry Ferguson was genius who revolutionized agriculture all over the world. In Fiji we still use grey Ferguson TE20 and TE30 along with Massey Ferguson range of tractors. Vinaka vaka levu Harry Ferguson
Three point linkage and hydraulics...revolutionary.
International Harvester invented the "Farmall" system of implements directly connected to their specialized tractors in the 1920s.
It was very primitive compared to the later Ferguson system.
The Ferguson system is still used on tractors, regardless of brand, to this day.
Great historical footage.
I was unaware of the training school that Ferguson established.
