OH MY GOD! I was looking for a tutorial, but I didn't expect to watch THE MAKEUP ARTIST WHO CREATED THIS! OH MY GOD! This one is like my favorite makeup ever! I want to wear it on my wedding
I just wanted to let you know that you helped make my childhood what it was, and I will always be so grateful for that. The fact that you were wonderful enough to make this tutorial blows my mind. Thank you so much for everything!
It was such a wonderful film and I have incredible memories of that time. It was fun to re visit it.
Thank you soo much for making this video!! It's amazing and also vey rare to see the actual makeup artist from a movie recreate the makeup. This scene is iconic to me. I first saw it when I was very young, around 6 maybe and was awed at how beautiful Drew's character look and the makeup is what stuck out most. It complimented the costume so well and brought out all of her natural features. I grew up to love makeup and am planning on being an "angel" for Halloween next year, using this makeup look. THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU CREATED THE MAKEUP LOOK THAT DEFINED MY CHILDHOOD.
It's so WONDERFUL! For sure I'm going to try out... Maybe a self tutorial for my followers. I always loved that makeup. Thank you so much for sharing it!
This is such a dream to watch. I used to have sleep overs with my best friend when we were younger and watch this movie on repeat. I always loved how beautiful she looked in that scene. It's like a mini blast from the past :) thank you, beautiful work. Really admire your work.
I didn't even need to get halfway through the video before I hit subscribe. I'm so happy I found this channel. You're amazing.
How to create the Cinderella makeup for Halloween by the makeup artist who did Drew Barrymore's Cinderella makeup in the film "Ever After".
So lovely!
I loved it.
Thanks for sharing this awesome makeup look and the story behind it. I always enjoy your videos :)
love that lip butter!!
Always been a fan of this movie so thanks for giving a "behind the scenes" look at the makeup for that memorable scene ^_^
wow! amazing video! Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks Kim!!
So cool! This has been one of my fave movies since I was a teen. Watched it so much, could almost do all the lines. Obsessed much. Haha. But some great inspiration though. Thanks
Holy mother of god... That's too pretty.
Beautiful Kim
So glad!
You are so welcome! We had a blast making it and it brought back such wonderful memories. :)
I love ginny!!
I, uh, died of happiness when I saw this. I'm sure you already know why since I've mentioned it many times :P thank you sooooo much!
this is truly beautiful! i'm sad that the lighting near the end didnt pick up so much of that stunning shimmer and texture that you worked hard to create. this is still just gorgeous. beautiful girl in beautiful makeup.
I so agree! I wish I had a professional photographer. What can ya do?! I think the photographs were still pretty.
The Stein's powder comes in a larger container. I just put it in that small one. You can find it at Halloween Depot in the US on line.
Thank you!
Ben Nye has a pink powder called Pretty Pink that is similar. It has a bit more pink tone in it but it should work well.
Thanks!
What kind of glitter did you use? And what kind of brush did you use to do all the eye makeup?
Thank you
You're welcome!
Is that the steins powder in the applicator Kim? Did you buy it like that? Doesn't seem to be available in the UK. Lovely tutorial :)))
which brush did you use at 3:53 for the blending it looks amazing
I want to say it's a Tarte brush but its packed away in one of 20 or so crates right now sorry. When I come across it on my next film Ill answer you again. :)
+Kim Greene, if you are still reading comments for this video... do you remember what lipstick you used for Marguerite? For the last 5 years I have tried to recreate that lip and I just cannot figure it out.
+Vraiciel Vraiciel I was Drew's personal makeup artist on the film. Tina Earnshaw was the Department Head so she would know who did Marguerite's makeup. Sorry I can't be more help. I was in a different trailer and don't know who did her makeup.
+Kim Greene got it. thanks anyway, loved the tutorial! how often do we get to see exactly how it was done?
Hi I am a MUA and I have been in the business doing bridal, some print work and fashion shows in my area (Bakersfield CA) But I have ALWAYS wanted to work fashion week LA fashion week and New York...How in the world do I get involved working these shows?
is your app going to be on the android app store?
where do you get that awesome foundation sponge from!!!! me wants one D:
It's called the Beauty Blender. Search the web. You can buy them a ton of places now. Get the original. It's way better than the imitations.
How do you feel about Drew Barrymore's Flower Beauty line?
Is the steins pink powder just regular pink tinted powder? So could I substitute with Ben-Nye pink powder?
lol just read the comments. You said ben-nye works. Does it look as natural in real life is it for the camera? Im getting married and the pink powder gives a soft focus just like you said. It's unbearably gorgeous. So I just wanted to know how this works with flash photography and up close. Thanks!
PS: Love this movie so much! You did such a good job on Drew.. she is my all time fave actress.
+caitlin dossett Ben Nye pale pink powder will not cause any problems with flash photography at all. However, it works best with fair skin. If you are darker toned or tan it may look like its laying on the skin, if you know what I mean.
:)
It's a small fortune to turn it into an app for the Android. (More than we can invest right now) Hopefully, in the future. :)
Thank you!
:)
The makeup in that scene stunned me as a little kid (and still to this day). Randomly searched to see if anyone had made a tutorial and to see that the actual makeup artist that did the look had made a video made me extremely happy! Subscribed!
tabularasaconfirmed Hi! Thanks for the kind words. :)
