In the rap game in SA Areece Emtee are kids to him, that’s status quo it’s not about materialistic things but about material... you can live with your child in the same house but it doesn’t change the fact that their a kid despite sharing the same environment.

if your business moves are tied to another organization administration-wise, then that's an empire built on a house of cards. Take artists who sign 360 deals for instance. Their label has a stake in everything they do that may generate some sort of revenue or clout. They can never really detach themselves from that burden without going through a cumbersome legal process should they choose to go independent. Nasty is signed to a major label and even though I personally do not know the ins and outs of that deal, I am sure that the label have structured it in such a way that it is most beneficial to them. The way they market and push his tours, music and collaborations makes it easy to believe that the label gets more off him. This is what they are talking about; making yours and yours alone or at least something that you have major control over.
