  • As India eyes a permanent seat at UNSC, S Jaishankar has revealed why it's a difficult dream. The external affairs minister questioned the credibility of United Nations Security Council without India among its permanent member nations. He also said that India's neighbours were not generous and were making the process difficult for India. He spoke while interacting with students of PES University in Bengaluru. @@mohdsohail8308 Yes, right. So, India shouldn't even care one bit of salt what Paxtan thinks and go on an offensive just like Commies have done in Tibet, Xinjiang, or inner Mongolia, etc. Neither does India need to recognize China's claim on any of those territories or new claims either. If that's what you want? It can be done too. Paxtan has to be dealt with like Russia is to Ukraine, the analogy is perfect. Nobody wants a dangerous nut case on the side.

The UNSC permanent seats should seize to exist, because there is no agreement that can go through when one permanent member is against it. Africa should also be given several permanent seats and India too.Countries like UK don't deserve such a seat since majority of it's former colonies are now independent.

Rather than India trying to get a seat on the UNSC, why not India propose the abolishment of the UNSC since only 5 permanent members are allowed to veto any major decision? You'll definitely even get the vote of China and the rest of the world excluding the other 4 permanent members of the UNSC. The UN General Assembly (represented by all thee countries in the world) should be the main governing and security body of the UN. It is called Democracy!

Maybe there was a time when India was more corrupted than present most corrupted state..
a spineless visonless govt whose people got killed by neighbour state.. and what we did? mourn.
India is still far from perfect.

This is nonsense my friend, Its true that USA offered India permanent seat and declined because even if India takes the offer entering the permanent seat Soviet Union would have vetoed it because China was also in the offering spot America wanted a noncommunist ally but Soviet Union(a soft ally of India at the time) wanted India to back down a give the seat to China because they just became a communist nation after the civil war, so even if India tried Soviet Union might have stopped so he stepped down the permanent seat. In this era of Nehru blaming, anything he did could be said as disastrous. Don't spur out lies to justify your political ideology. BE FACTUAL, and JAI HIND🇮🇳
