Syphilis is a bacterial infection caused by the spirochete Treponema pallidum, and is considered a sexually-transmitted disease (STD). Syphilis is readily treatable with penicillin, but if left untreated, it may cause severe damage to most bodily organs and can be life-threatening. Syphilis is known as “the great imitator”, as it mimics a large number of different conditions. Syphilis patients are at increased risk of contracting HIV.
Syphilis develops in 3 symptomatic stages: primary, secondary and tertiary, which are typically separated by periods of no symptoms. There is also a prominent latent phase in between secondary and tertiary syphilis.

Hmm have you gotten the rashes? Thats usually the next big symptom (within 2-6 months of having the infection) and it is EXTREMELY visible. Trust me you cannot miss those rashes that appear everywhere. Head to toe

@@ciaobella9253 you better start looking because the body speaks to you. And just a big warning. If and when they appear on your hands, the rashes ARE contagious be very careful on keeping contact with anyone very low. Wash your clothing and bed sheets often. However, you are not contagious after they go away within 3-6 weeks

The good news for you is that Syphilis can be treated and cured fully at any stage - but, if there is any damage done, it can not be reversed, Please go and see the doctor who is a specialist in Veneral Diseases (Sexual Disease) immediately.
Return to the Dr or facility where you were already treated. Sometimes it takes more than one or two doses. It can take several. Don't be scared, just go back for more treatment or report to an emergency room at any hospital and tell them your history and concerns. Dr.s there will know what to tell you to do next. Please don't be ashamed or fearful. Just go get more treatment.

I developed 1 chancre on the shaft of my penis as well as a few red little bumps on the palms on my hands and the rest of my body. Took 2 shots of penicillin yesterday. I hope it goes away soon

I was diagnosed with secondary syphilis 5 months ago.. 1:64 i took a shot of ceftrioxane and 27 days 200mg doxycycline.. after 3 months my titer was 1:8
I started to see my rashes are back again, i wast given 4 shots ceftrioxane and 2.4milion benzatine penicillin g long acting.. my rpr now is 1:4.. but i mist wait 3 months of the last shot.. i feel pain in my right side of body, neck stiffnes wrist pain and ankle.. migraine and ear pressure.. could this be neurosyphilis? My dr feels its anxiety, after reading my anxiety disorder report on the system.. but am not anxious my symptoms are real… what should i do?
