By far the most feeling-good show of my year, I loved every minute.
My daughter loved this. Has been hesitant to show her any series before since it’s so focused on battling (she’s 2 and a half). So glad I finally found a pokemon show we could watch together that had both a kid friendly story and wholesome artstyle.
Please make more, omg. This was everything and completely beautiful. Being in the OG demographic for when Pokemon first came out, I found this series to be so appealing and "grown up." I felt like it was made perfectly for me, while also being able to bring in audiences from other demographics, older or younger, as well. So amazing!
What would've been like if the main games and anime had grown up with us, the viewers? Like if Red was a toddler in Gen 1 and Juliana was in her late 20s in Gen 9? While Ash grew as a character and got replaced sooner as intended by chief writer, Shudo Takeshi(RIP)?
I'm happy that Psyduck gets treated so nicely in this series! You know in the original Pokemon he was kinda kicked around and abused :( I'm glad he gets more love this time!
I think in this show, psyduck is gonna steal the spotlight

The whole studio looks whimsical. Somehow the whole gives a bit more depth to everything it has in store for us.
This is definitely a hidden gem in the pokemon industry that needs a lot of support from fans too 🥺
You can see the dedication and passion that they are putting into this new Pokémon Stop Motion anime, it really shows that it will have much better quality than the 2 animes of Rilakkuma (both animes were also made by Dwarf Studios) and Non (I don't know her) It shows that he will do a very good job, I am really excited to see this anime.

HEEEEEEEEEY! Rena Nounen! I knew I recognized her! She played Aki Amano in the Japanese TV show "Ama Chan". She played a young sea urchin diver in rural Japan. I used to watch that show. I didn't know she was called "Non" now. She is absolutely perfect for this role.

Stop motion is an under utilised media. Given the sheer effort and time to produce, I understand why, but wish more people took it on.
I love Laika for keeping it mainstream over the past few years with some greta films. It's amazing to see another team take it on tobthe big stage too woth Pokemon. Cannot wait for this.

I appreciate that Pokemon is becoming more experimental with their shows and movies lately. Not just with introducing new protagonists to the main anime, but also this as well. I wonder if we'll ever see any of the human characters from the anime make a cameo in this. Also, am I the only one that finds Haru looking a little off? Maybe I just need to get used to her design.

As a Japanese, I cannot help but be amazed at the difference in Pokémon names. The Pokémon you call psyduck is generally called Koduck in Japan.
