I have the look and stand out with my own style of clothes, but i noticed when i try to talk about my life or things im doing i get the feeling people are insecure around me. for example, i will talk about stocks/real estate and people will disagree and act like they know more than me (which i know they know nothing about it)... and when i do stand my ground people run away/leave lol they get upset or change the subject and talk about themselves... maybe it just means i need to surround myself around better people
On the topic of standing up for yourself and what you belive in, I hate to say it but I wanna know you and others advice on this one. So I currently work this job as a stocker in a marketplace, and there’s this co-worker that’s about twice my age and orders me to do certain things around the store. He’ll say work on this, or “Nah don’t work that U-Boat, work on this”. Or “I told you to work on this first, why are you working on that?” And I fall victim for not working or complying by his orders in the proper manner. Whole time, he isn’t my boss…he’s just a co-worker of mine that supervises me (sun es he’s worked there longer than me). Deep down inside, I wanna tell him “Ay listen man, I done worked here long enough, and ion think we do anything much different here everyday. I got this man, I got it all by myself, chill”. That’s what I want to say, but in a proffessional manner that’s going to come off in a respectful manner. I personally don’t like feeling “bossed around” or taken advantage of bc I’m such a nice guy it seems. I always feared that if I say something out of line, or Not comply to anyone at the workplace, they’ll report it to the boss, and my hours/wage will get cut…or even worse (I’ll get fired). So my thing is…should I just let my co-worker know not to walk me around like a dog and belittle me? Or should I just stick to me role, understand he’s been working here longer than me, and that I should just come to work, do my 6-7 hours and come home being done with. (+ My job is filled with predominantly men and women twice my age, act all grumpy & distasteful. But I make my way around by understanding that I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to make money dassit.)

Maybe they know some shit you don't, maybe they're just pulling you around. You can stand your ground respectfully, just make sure you know exactly what you're saying, and that the way you're saying it isn't starting a fight. - If you haven't been there that long, grit your teeth until you got more time under your belt then stand for your ground - If your coworker tries slandering you to your supervisor, make sure you know EXACTLY what you said so you can defend yourself. Have your story down, have your intent down, have it all down respectfully so that if it gets to your supervisor and you're in trouble for that, you can explain yourself convincingly. B) I don't know if you got any chill supervisors or actual department heads but ask them for advice - if you got the time, maybe ask THEM for more tasks so that when your coworker starts telling you to do shit, you can say your supervisor told you to do something else.
I would say a good way to stand your ground is to simply let your manager or supervisor know the situation and go from there or you can talk to your co worker respectfully and try and swuash it that way.

I was born and raised a Christian and the son of a pastor which gave me the most time to get closer to the biblical idea of God. But as I’ve gotten older, I realized there isn’t anything wrong with other belief systems, in fact I’d rather look into other beliefs as I see them all as a puzzle to one bigger picture that the division of religion may not be able to see. I’ve been trying to continue growing in my life and getting a better understanding of the world around me in a spiritual sense. I’ve also just been looking deeper into the ancient world of my ancestors to try and connect the dots. I think I’m a truth seeker

I believe in the only way to get better at things is to make mistakes and keep doing something. If you have the feeling of being stuck your going to make a mistake soon. You have to believe in yourself and learn from mistakes. I gave a touchdown in one of my first hs football games. Couple games later after working hard they didn’t throw my way once bc I improved my self and wasn’t afraid of mistakes.
