    Top favorite of the 2 locomotives(other being bigboy 4014). It's nice to see 3751 again.

      So in other words you've watched Train CZcams for about 20 minutes?
      I'm kidding of course they're my favourites too.

    • @ghosttrain312
      @ghosttrain312 Před rokem

      @@trainknut I grew up watching 3751 on "there goes a train" and I've been in 4014's cab when it was still in Pomona. It'd be historic to see 3751, 844, and 4014 to do a once in a lifetime excursion. That would be great.

    • @trainknut
      @trainknut Před rokem +1

      @@ghosttrain312 I appreciate 4014's significance in that she was(unofficially) the most photographed Big Boy even before they pulled her half way across the US and restored her.
      For whatever reason she always seemed to be around when cameras were rolling.
      And 3751 is, well she's a serious contender for the original 4-8-4 as she was technically already in production when NP ordered their 2600 from ALCO. She's been rebuilt four times, heavily modified twice, and laid the foundation upon which virtually every other 4-8-4 was made.
      She started out life as simply a 4-8-2 with an extra axle for support, and wound up inspiring an entirely new type of locomotive that would go on to be the most successful American locomotive type ever.

    That's one heck of a beautiful restoration. I have always admired you guys in the States, you certainly knew how to build big engines. Would love to come back and see this in action. Cheers from Emerald Queensland Australia.

    Speaking of music - did you know that the former road manager for the Doors has written a tell-all book and it is bring released this Christmas. THis is quite an even. Engine looks beautiful. Apparently the driver doesn't know that the stop whistle is one long blast. Apparently it isn'[t moving under it's own power. Seems like there is a diesel engine pushing it. Where is the chuff of a normally operating engine??? Nice to have a real close-up view of it.

  • @microbusss
    @microbusss Před rokem

    I think that the whistle I hear on old toons or it might be one from SP

  • @deepsleep7822

    Except for the one chuff, it didn’t look like it was under power, i.e. it was being pushed in. 🙁

    où la cloche ou la sirène LOL

    • @DonVideoGuy007
      @DonVideoGuy007 Před rokem

      😂🤣... Les locomotives à vapeur n'ont pas de sirène; cependant, ils ont tous une cloche et un sifflet à vapeur. Le sifflet est clairement visible sur le dessus de la locomotive au-dessus de la troisième roue motrice, à la marque de code temporel 06:22; ainsi que la cloche peuvent être vues en action à l'avant de la boîte à fumée de la locomotive.
