At the end of 2019 Wendy fell from a height of 2.5 during reherseal. With injuries, fracture of the right cheekbone, fracture of the right pelvis, fracture of the right wrist. This incident occurred in the comeback psycho era. Wendy was hospitalized for 2-3 months and was absent/on hiatus for one year. This incident also made her parents come from Canada. If you ask, there is a slight difference in her face because of the tragedy of the accident, her condition is very serious. Then about her weight, Wendy said her weight is very easy to gain and lose, that's why in every RV comeback, sometimes her body looks a bit fat but sometimes she is also very thin. She also received hate speech because she was too fat, then she went on a drastic diet until she was very thin. But after that she still received hate speech for being too thin. But we are grateful that she is very well now. Seeing her able to dance again with an injury like that, we feel very grateful. Yes she really is back. Thank You Wendy. Red Velvet is highly respected by juniors. They are good and humble seniors. Even Wendy got the nickname Angel in the Korean industry. Everyone calls her an Angel.
So it’s been known that Wendy ever since debut was struggling with her weight. She would lose weight and then gain weight throughout the years. She would try different diets and exercise and honestly there was two times where she looked scary thin. Fortunately, she went back to a healthy weight and for the past 4-5 years found a good balance of diet and exercise. She’s been looking much more healthier and glowing too. Let’s not forget what happened to her in 2019, when Psycho came out. She got into that horrible accident falling from a high height during a year end/xmas music show event. She fractured her right pelvis/hip, wrist, right cheek/jaw. She had to have her jaw wired for some time and they had to fix the crack on her cheek too. So there was so facial surgery done while she was healing, but not as drastic as some knets claimed. She still looks very much like her old self..just a little more leaner/no more baby fat. Also, make up can also change up your facial features depending on what kind of make up the stylist put on them. But anyways, she’s literally glowing, happy, and super healthy now.
Yeeeeeah that definitely wasn’t the best guide, it didn’t have any of their solo and unit stuff or the good clips that show off more of their personalities. It’s all good though because I’m just grateful you’re taking the time out to dive deeper, not all of their songs are everyone’s cup of tea and you seem to like more of the Velvet side as do I! 36:57 yea, red velvet’s music does not follow THAT format most of the time, thats why its a hit or miss for the gp. but if you listen closely, it makes sense you know. really really makes sense. kudos to sm maybe. they know how to make real music. plus the delivery by the girls. they have this power to turn shit to gold. you just have to listen and pay attention and get used to it because its so far from the usual sounds that we hear being played around us 😮 oh, and by ‘shit’ i meant those really far off tracks given to them. like, how would you sing this shit? but you know what, red velvet made it work. it wouldnt make sense if another group performed it. that kind of shit. thats how they made me respect them and follow their works. everytime they come back, not that i know they came back to bring something new and amazing and deep, but also they came back to turn shit to gold! 😊 the bsides thou. no words needed ❤

wendy was heavily. criticized for her weight and yoyo'd a lot but her facial features have very much stayed the same for a long time. she also fell and had her cheek reconstructed so there's a tad bit differnece but wendy has looked basically the same since 2015 lol and it's a very big insecurity and huge topic around her despite her being quite literally the best singer of 3rd gen kpop i wish ppl stopped bringing it up
