Let's face it guys , and maybe gals, we all have our faves. I've heard awesome sounding Hellcats, 392's, 5.0 GT's, Vettes, Camaro's, a few Benz's on the street, but i always remember that on these vids, some are out in the open, some in a shop, some with exhaust work done, some stock. I love them all. Just like certain songs, they are music to the ears to different individuals, i won't get into an argument about which is better, but i just love both the stock and some modded exhaust on the Dodge's, Fords, and Chevy's. Hearing them out on the open road like the Nurburgring with sound reverberating from the different surroundings and varying speeds is just awesome.
That Volvo sounds beautiful, I used to have a 5 cylinder Volvo S70 and that sounded great, I changed the exhaust and it sounded sweet after that, it was just a lovely 5 cylinder sound, not quite the same as a V6 but so much better than 4 cylinder..

There's nothing better sounding than a 1970-1973 Olds Cutlass 442 - that sound blew me away back in my high school days, and I still haven't gotten over how darned mean that motor sounded!

VisioRacer always seems to go for the sound of high performance race engines or obscure stuff in all his videos. No way would the Porsche 918's V8 make my list however technically good it is - give me any dirty-sounding dinosaur over that.

You can build it into anything you like, like a drag car, a pro touring, a daily driver, a fully restored stock original, a car that looks and handles like stock but has 500hp, theres nothing you CANT do while building a classic

The Mustang GT350R is the most delicious sounding V8 imo. It is a flat-plane crank V8 and redlines at 8500 RPM.
listening to these sounds while raining outside and drinking coffee. I can now die in peace.

M156 is by far one of the best sounding NA V8s of all time.
BMW S65B40 for street and S60B40 for race/track. BMW S62 is my runner-up!
For exotic RUF RGT-8 and ultra exotic Porsche 918. All of these V8s are the beat you can get for sound, excitement and performance with less than 10 cylinders.

Ford Mustang Ecoboost and GT and Chevrolet Camaro SS and V6 are pony cars of course
But even a stock Dodge Challenger R/T cant be term as Muscle car unless the car have high hp
But cars like Shelby Mustangs (V8 that have high hp) and Camaro ZL1 that pretty much capable taking down a Corvette Z06 can be term as Muscle
Some people have an opinion that Muscle cars suppose to have great top speed and acceleration with high-powered output engine, rear wheel drive and a large V8 even if suffers handling too much (more like a drag car)
But that doesnt stop Camaro ZL1 and Shelby Mustangs being categorized as Muscle car because both of these cars already meet almost all the requirements term of a Muscle car even if both of these cars doesnt suffer/have greater handling than Dodge Challenger (no offence to Dodge Challenger owners)
Edit: i know the topic is kinda out of the question like i mention Shelby Mustangs (because i personally love Shelby cars) or anything that have nothing to do with Camaro and im supposed talk about Camaro whether its a pony or a muscle but i just want to point out some real facts about cars and the terms and i dont mean to correct you or anyone because everyone have their different opinions about Muscle cars or any term cars and i dont mean to offend any car guys or non-car guys because i respect their opinion

But dont get me wrong, some Shelby Mustangs are already alot more powerful and better than Hellcats and Demons (except acceleration for Dodge Demon) even if its price expensive than a Viper ACR Aero Package or under a Viper GTS
And im not talking about the brand new 2020 Shelby GT500 because there is a possibility that the car could and couldn't (50-50) beat the Demon but could taking the Hellcat
But its a package actually so its not production car but its still road-legal and Demon Killer
However, it can be production car if buy directly to Shelby Company

Ford mustang 5.2L flat plane v8 did it the best. It combine the American growl burble sound with the european v8 high revving capabilities. That thing sounds like a freaking work of art. I heard one in real life at a Ford dealership, and man the cameras mic does not do it justice. The challenger hellcat 6.2L sounds amazing as well, due to the glorious whine that blower produces and the challenger is a pushrod design so it like has a certain NASCAR echo vibe to the burble sound as well that sounds amazing too.
I live near a Dodge Dealship and have heard these Mopars. ROAR.. what a sound.. it's so Commen to hear a test drive. But never gets Old. Thanks Huntington beach Dodge

I learned some interesting things about your European examples here. HOWEVER, I was surprised that you overlooked the GEN 3 Taurus SHO. Like the Volvo S80, it is mounted sideways and features a full Yamaha upper! There are some very good examples of it here on the Tube, especially Paul's front and rear recordings on the dyno. Worth a watch AND listen. The comments are most always about the 'Nascar' sound of that little high rev. v8 at only 3.4 ltr.
