I rebuilt a 1970 Triumph 500 with my dad about 3 years ago. It was a great learning experience and was also my first bike. It led me to your Instagram and later CZcams channel and began my love of vintage bikes. What a great project!

That sweetheart Addy has no idea how lucky she is to have a world-class motorcycle builder for a Dad.
Jared, you are by far one of the most loving, coolest, and patient Dad's around.
I love the name "The Pink Tiger" (exactly what I was going to guess)...haha
This is going to be such a cool bike.
    Peace

Get them addicted to motorcycles and they will never have money for drugs. You are doing a good job raising your kids my friend.

Can't wait to see the Pink Tiger when it's on the road. Will she do a metal flake pink or more of a cream pink color? Both could be interesting. I just painted that same style tank with some rattle cans and it turned out pretty good...for my first time. I did a two tone thing, like the original paint scheme, but in NON-stock colors. The 2K clear coat is a must.

Great work and even better lessons for life Addy. 43 years ago when I was 14 and starting my motorcycle journey my uncle didn't teach me to tear down a bike. I was taught on tractors around the farm so be appreciative of your terrific Dad. Young Lady, you will know more about your bike than 90% of the riders on the road. My children also learned to wrench before they could ride so they don't rely on dealers or shops which is a very good money saver.
I look forward to seeing you learn to ride and enjoy "Pink Tiger".
You folks are in my prayers

Engine cleaning Pro Tip: Buy kiddy pool at Walmart. Put pool in sunny area. Fill pool with water. Pour in 1 gallon of Simple green. Add engine. Every day spend about 10 minutes scrubbing engine. 2 weeks later VOILA' clean motor.

13 year old with ADD? How can any child focus long enough to complete any of the tasks required whilst building a bike? As for the wearing of shorts in a workshop? ...JEEZ LOUISE! C'mon Jared! ...Teach your kids some workshop SAFETY, ...PLEASE! Get them into overalls, and safety boots! You need a darn sight more than just safety glasses when using high speed rotating tools and if you have ever dropped a simple spanner on an exposed toe ANYWHERE, you'll understand why proper foot protection is a must! Tie back (or tie UP!) long hair, whether you are a girl OR a boy! Even using a powered screwdriver is dangerous with loose hair flapping about!
It's no wonder kids don't strip/service/rebuild bikes these days without having been taught the SERIOUSNESS of safety and how things can go seriously WRONG in a workshop!
If you are going to teach your daughter "how to" stuff, start from the beginning!
I wish Addy didn't look like she was being coerced into this project in order to receive her allowance! She runs out of enthusiasm within about 3 minutes of the videos starting! (or is it narcolepsy? ...lol)
I would be much more impressed if Addy was typed up enough to make the videos herself, with YOU, Jared, as the cameraman and tech support. If he ALONE did all the jobs, and "daddy" didn't jump in every 30 seconds to "do the nasty jobs". THAT is what life is about! ...Doing the nasty jobs as well as the fun stuff!
I'm sorry Jared, as much as I love the work you do, I feel a little uncomfortable watching this "project"!

      Mark Simpson,
Wow what an in depth comment that obviously had a lot of thought put into ... kind of like my friend and his daughter put into this video. I'm so sorry that Ade, a child, didn't perform up to your standards. Clearly, your lack of experience with teenage children isn't up to par. That's probably a good thing Mark. I know and adore these people. You're wrong, it's that simple. But I get you are a troll and you get off on people replying to your comments and I'm feeding into that, Yada, yada yada. Your words, your effort and your anger are wasted here. Go elsewhere friend.

For the record Addie is super excited about working on “her” bike. Jared makes sure that she is safe when she does the work and and he is always there. How about instead I’d commenting on everything that jared is doing wrong you should be commenting on how amazing it is that he is spending time with his teenage daughter ❤

Mark, while I truly believe you’re coming from a place of concern, I want you to also consider a couple things. First, she’s a dang 13 year old girl - idk if you’ve met a lot of them, but if she didn’t want to be doing the build with her dad, she simply wouldn’t. Second, while safety IS important I also feel confident in Jared’s and Ade’s ability to assess risk. The flip side of this is the potential to be “too easy on the kid” or “too protective.” Being a creator means you will never please everyone all the time with every action/decision.
Lastly, just because she complained a couple times about specific tasks - mainly polishing, I absolutely cannot blame her for voicing it. It’s hard work- even for people with experience. So yea, if that means Jared had to step in and help, okay. Ultimately they want to build something that is cool, functional, and safe.
