This televised concert special, held at the Walt Disney World theme park in Florida as well as other Disney-related locations, celebrates the beginning of summer 1999 with musical performances. 'NSync performs "I Want You Back," and once aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, the band members begin counting down a top-ten list of fun summer activities, starting with vacationing at Walt Disney World. Singer Tyrese highlights the theme park's thrill rides, and the members of Aerosmith make a guest appearance on one of the roller coasters. Britney Spears performs "Sometimes" from the Magic Kingdom, and 98 Degrees performs "The Hardest Thing" from Castaway Cay in the Bahamas. 'NSync suggests movies as another fun summer activity, recommending the new Disney film "Tarzan," in which they perform a song, "Trashin' the Camp," along with Phil Collins. Spears goes on a shopping spree at Disney World and introduces Tyrese, who performs "Sweet Lady" from MGM Studios, and 'NSync then performs "I Drive Myself Crazy." Spears sits down for a quick Q&A session with a few young fans, and Tyrese stops by Blizzard Beach and suggests sun and sand as another vacation option. 98 Degrees performs "Because of You," and Tyrese performs "Lately." The 'NSync guys attempt "summer jobs" as ice cream vendors in the park, and 98 Degrees offers some dating advice for their teen fans. Spears performs "…Baby One More Time" and then introduces rising pop star and "next big thing" Michael Africk, who briefly performs a song. 98 Degrees performs "I Do (Cherish You)", Tyrese makes some new friends in Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and Spears recaps the top-ten list before naming "party" as the number-one summer activity. 'NSync then closes the program with "Tearin' Up My Heart." Includes commercials and promos. - Hudba

The fact that a lot of us wish we could go back to this time tells a lot about where we are in life. This was such a simpler time.

No one is saying it was perfect but it was simpler back then because we were not sucked into technology and social media so we could focus on real life. We actually physically socialized. Also, this was during our childhood. That's why it was simpler times. ❤️
This is subjective, for me it was a simpler time because it's 1998 I was 18, little to no bills and responsibility. Now I'm 40 with kids in the service and getting ready to head to College with tons of bills and responsibility, so I get what you mean.

I’m 47 and still wish we could go back to these days in music. not gonna lie when it was a whole backstreet versus *NSYNC back in the day, I was a backstreet girl, but I still love *NSYNC and all of these acts. Heck I still love my fave group, NKOTB, so I can appreciate when music takes us back to simpler times.

There was something about the late 90s to early 2000s that I can never put my finger on. It felt like it's own mini decade in itself, it's that special.
1998 to 2002. The Millenium years. The era of boy bands and Brittany, Pokemon and Digimon in movie theaters, Dragon Ball Z on Toonami, the "high quality" years of the Nintendo 64 and original PlayStation, and the early years of the PS2 and GameCube. Some would say it ended with the September 11th attacks, but America was actually United after that, things didn't turn sour until the Iraq War in 2003. In pop culture terms, this "era" lasted until Justin Timberlake and Nsync split up in 2002. (Though taking it's "end" all the way to 2003 and the Iraq War makes sense).

It was a different time. A good time, no social media, no smartphones, no division, no offensiveness, just people coming together to kick off the summer with some fun and music. I'm glad I grew up during these days. It was such a simpler time.

The best part of being a product of the 90s was growing up during this nostalgic time and remembering exactly where you were and what you were doing when you see certain stuff. I was 8, at home, playing barbies with my sisters. This was a very real era ❤️

I may have stopped listening to everyyyy song after her 3rd album but once I heard my girl was in trouble over a decade ago - the Britney fan in me came alive again.

Cece Gee Basically when Britney first came out she sounded similar to Tony Braxton and Christina who was coming up behind her. To make Britney stand out and sound unique a producer called Max Martin told Britney to sing in a high Baby voice by pushing down on her larynx, a very unstable vocal technique which is easier to do standing still in a studio, however when Britney has to move even a little bit (let alone her heavy dance numbers) her voice shakes and cracks, hence Britney lip syncs a lot while dancing. Early in her career during her first album (this video is promoting her first album) Britney could keep up with a live vocal because her first album ‘Baby one more time’, the baby voice wasn’t used heavy, in fact the track ‘Baby one more time’ fits right near Britney natural range, that’s why she sounds good singing it live.
Then Britney’s second album ‘Oops’ happened and the producers made Britney sing even HIGHER, Britney also started dancing a lot more and lip syncing a lot more.
Basically Britney struggled to do the baby voice live and dance at the same time, that’s why she sounds deeper than the track when she does sing live 😊✌️

Growing up in central Florida I watched N*Sync and BSB get big. They would play shows in Orlando all the time in the summer. Brings back so many memories. I got meet N*Sync at an old Walmart in Orlando when their album came out. They did a meet and greet. Kinda crazy they did that at Walmart of all places, even back then.

SUPER jealous! I watched the live DVD of it as a kid and wished I was there. I watched it over again years later and it was so nostalgic. I have "space cowboy" playing in my head right now lol. I got to see Justin Live during the Justified tour though which was amazing.

The level of innocence in society was so amazing, made life so much simpler and peaceful. Nothing was "trending" weekly with everyone trying to get validation from the internet. No one was focused on wearing over priced stuff. Just so much more meaningful enjoyment in life.
