I've found a similar glitch where if you stand in a crate (with an open top), it will just start floating. I believe this is because when you collide with it the item is supposed to move away from you, but since you are inside the item it doesnt know where to go so it just starts floating up. You can't really steer it but it is still pretty funny.

Ive been nonstop messing with this trick and it seems there is a very specific pattern to it. Im gonna make a video on it, but the way the item is picked up lets you see how you are meant to stand on it with certain items. There are two metal gears on the far left area of the Questionable Area next to the Funicular. If you set them down and they stay vertical, you can stand on it and prop fly/prop launch indefinitely since they wont break.
