***** its perfect, so raw. eventhough I think I hear 3 different vocal tracks taken on 3 different days. the difference between coreys voice at the beginning and the middle and ending is huge. too huge to be a lack of warming up.

Timbre is one of the biggest things that seprates music. Melody on overdriven guitar is metal, on a violin it's classical, on a double bass it's jazz, on a synth it's dance music, on a flute it's folk. A lot of people like the same music but don't realize it because the instruments are different.
jeez whats with the over analyzing on the mans comment lol. The melody and rhythm IS what makes the song. So the equipment is definitely a small change that makes a world of difference

Corey Taylor is by far the greatest singer on the planet today! Such a soulful voice in songs like this but can turn it up in a song like 'Left Behind'!
I wouldn't use Left Behind as a good example of "turning it up", maybe something like Disasterpiece or something, unless you're only talking about his cleaner vocals.

I love this song, but I do not think they have taken advantage of the acoustic guitar in this version. I get the feeling that only repeated the rhythmic guitar of the song, I could still make arrangements or riffs to support the melody. Even Jim or Josh could mimic the instrument air sounds in the electric version to give it more texture. Anyway, always appreciated listening to Stone Sour.
