I am about to enter my peds and women's health rotation in NP school AND I recently transferred to the mother-baby unit in my hospital. This is such a helpful overview from a high-level perspective. It's helpful too to have this info in my back pocket when I explain to parents at discharge what their baby's risk factors are for becoming more jaundiced and what their pediatrician will be looking for at the first check-up :D
