Can you elaborate (maybe make a video) on how to do the on-set things for amateurs like how to use a color checker, how to capture an HDRI, how to know your camera properties and transfer that data to your digital camera in maya. I have a school project and need to create a great VFX shot during a 3 months period. I have to do it as professional as possible with the latest technology if possible. With the latest technology i mean like how 3D scanning information is integrated in the VFX pipeline, how to film in stereoscopic, IMAX, 2k/4k/8k etc, how to capture motion performance, how to use greenscreens. (Some things would be too expensive for this project but i have to research all latest technologies and use the ones that are possible)

      Hi Stef Willemse!
I will have videos published on these matters soon enough! That's a lot to talk about in a comment, but the videos will explain everything.
      Thanks for your comment!

      Thank you, Clara!
I posted an extended video about all the 3D Software a few days ago, and it includes the matchmove, as well, check it out!
Let me know if you still need to know anything.

Its Syntheyes, the most common 3d Matchmoving software. Nuke does a pretty good job of this as well. Depends on the shot.

Good. However - I find it hard to watch these video with all the edit cuts.

Thanks for your comment, and you are right. That's something that only pertains to the first few videos, though, when I was a bit stiff and had to stop frequently. Hopefully, the newer ones are much easier to follow up!
