I don't know how I didn't notice this song earlier but:
These guys always made me feel some positivity since I found them, and tbh I haven't listened to them in 4-5 years due to many reasons (staying offline, taking breaks from music, or discovering other stuff, and more), and not the fake kind. But I didn't expect an 100% realistic song that is that uplifting, or rather an uplifting song being so realistic, *and* against elitism/arrogance/narcissism etc.
In a world where every cynical and brainwashed person calls themselves a realist or logical or truthbearer, clever, witty, etc (oh the irony and Danning Kruger effect), and so on, it's good to know there are down to earth and truly logical ppl & artists who are still quite (or maybe exceedingly) aware but trying not to lose hope despite (almost) everything looking increasingly bleaker because of things I won't mention here specifically (but I've written many times in many different threads and comment sections, even if few bother reading my walls of text), things that can really be summed up with one (or 2) word(s) - stupidity/immaturity... but not only manage not to lose hope, but are also sharing that hope.
Btw, I mostly prefer more meaningful and gloomy lyrics and atmospheric stuff, but good pop with interesting things going on in it, is a big help when you find it and in my case, it brings a balance that I'm not sure I'd reach without being influenced by certain songs/artists of this genre. Music doesn't solve issues imo (I hate exaggerations 😅) but it can improve and support us during some relatively hard periods. And generally keep us good company, often better than any family and friend we have.
I fight anxiety and ADHD everyday. I kick myself. This song reminds me to pick myself up.
