Always finding the coolest music from you, man!
Stoked you're digging the tunes man! Kind of started off as a UK jazz channel but now I'm just doing any tune I bop to haha! Hope you're well! Alex 👊
easily my favorite drum channel -- be awesome to see a THE MIGHTY by Ashley Henry lesson or JAPAN by Athletic Progression
Ah mate, thank you so much! Really appreciate that my dude! Both sick tunes for sure! Will revisit some Ashley Henry and Athletic Progression in future videos! Alex 👊
You're putting me on to so many goodies, thank you!
That’s sick Kyle man! Stoked to have you in the crew over here! Alex 👊
loving the videos! would be cool to see you breaking down noname song 31 or 30/70 backfoot in the future
Stoked you're digging the vids mate! Coincidently, tomorrow's lesson is a 30/70 tune! I'm doing Breaking - For This World To Change though, hope to see you there! Alex 👊
You've a great taste man. For me, it's the most important thing when im searching for some inspiration. Can you do 'Herr bar' by Clark? It would be amazing. Peace from Germany, you're the man!
Hey Frederik my dude! Stoked you're digging the videos mate! Thank you for the recommendation, I hadn't heard this tune before but it's dope! I've added it to the playlist and will add it to the video list! Thanks for watching! Alex 👊
Excellent Alex, I missed last week's video so I have my work cut out for me this week.
Dope man! Hope you enjoy learning the grooves mate! Out of interest, do you fully learn the grooves every week? That's sick if so (or even if you don't), as I never really know how many people actually learn them or not haha! Always good to see you in the comments man! Speak soon Julian! Alex 👊
@@DrumHubTuition Dude of course always enjoy learning new things to make me better! I try try to fully learn when I can depending on my week and if I really really like the groove. The Arlo Parks ones and the one from Gogopenguin are the last ones that I sat down and made dedicated sessions for. Always good to see you man, hope things are well.
Ah man, that’s so sick to hear! Yeahhh, that Gogo Penguin video was my favourite I’ve made for a while! Such a killer groove! Keep up the good work my dude! Speak soon! Alex 👊
I love all of Nick’s music - these grooves all have a feel, vibe, and sound that’s not easy to achieve yet inspiring to strive for. Here’s hoping you cover some tracks from WTMMG in the future. Thank You for continually offering great content!
🙏 🙌
Ah man, totally agree with you Mike! There's something in that laid back sound that creates a sick vibe! His voice is insane too! May well revisit Nick Hakim in a later video, I need to listen to WTMMG in full to be fair! Thanks for watching man! Alex 👊
Hi, i'm a big fan of your videos. Your videos really provide me with inspiration for the kind of music i like. Thanks for that. Could you provide us with some info about your drum-set-up and your microphone situation? Since you seem to be in a pretty small room, but your kit sounds so good, it would be very interesting to hear about your approach and your use of certain microphones.
all the best, matti
Hey Matti my dude! Thank you mate, really stoked that you're digging the videos! I'm going to be redecorating my studio and making some improvements next week so maybe I'll make a video on it once I've got the sounds down!
To be honest I'm using pretty cheap audio gear though, just an entry level AKG drum pack and a super cheap Behringer interface, looking to make some improvements over the next few years but it gets the job done! Thanks for watching! Alex 👊
@@DrumHubTuition Hej Alex, thanks so much for your answer.
Especially this kind of info is very valuable for me and a big community I think. To have a good exchange and info on how you can make a drum-set sound good live or in a video, without spending a fortune. :) Wish you all the best for the redecoration-process. Keep up the good work, and stay healthy. all the best from berlin, matti
New snare drum Alex ?
Yeah man! I picked up a Pearl Brass Piccolo as my other snare was choking a bit at higher tunings / being hit harder! Well noticed my dude! Alex 👊
And which are your drumsticks? So narrow(?) at top...thanks
Yo Thomas! I use Vic Firth AJ6 sticks! They are like a 7A but tapered at the top which is why they are so narrow. Not for everyone but they're my favorite sticks for sure! Alex 👊
@@DrumHubTuition Thanks Alex, have a nice day !
You too, Thomas! 👊
Tempo?
It’s 3 different tracks, tap them on a click my dude! Alex 👊
