@@obsiangravel Thats not how it works in Arknights lmfao, Degen is a quick burst dps and she is irreplaceable on her role, no other DPS dishes out damage on that quick intervals. If anything Ela and Ray are the ones that are replaceable because of how common duration based burst dpses are in the game.
Also Arknights is a DPS orianted game so best dpses are obviously going to be the best operators to pull for

id like to point out that one of Degen's cons is her inconsistency with Frighten offskill. Unless you use her S2 with SP batteries, or timing her S3 properly, it's not that reliable for Frighten.
It doesn't take away from her awesomeness but it's still a good thing to take note of when using her
IMO, her #1 drawback is her being released soon before several back to back limited banners. I'm real torn on wether to spend my orundum on her or save for Shu and the R6 gang.
@chaosstripe9446 its all a matter of desire imo. if you dont want her enough, save your oruns. dont pull just because meta. but if you think you really want her, don't reserve yourself.
i do use all my op for pulls so i recover pulls pretty easily, I'm not sure how it is for other f2p players who also get skins.
i personally skipped her and would rather get from Ray all the way to Wisadel.

Dps powercreep is temporary, good unique utility is forever.
Shu is limited, but Degen isn’t. That’s your answer.

Among the six new 6star parade this year, i think she is the best for new squad. She can survive stages with just her elite 1(tremble and 3 slash) and actually worth her class of a guard as in.... guarding the line...
As long as you lv 7 her skill she can easely hold the line while we are waiting dp for the next unit deployement.

Okay so I want to start a debate. Who is better, Degenbreacher or Mlynar? For me is personally still Mlynar. Yes he does have longer skill cooldown & duration (even though his damage per skill activation is way higher than Degenbreacher) but if you're only using Degenbreacher as a Nuker, you won't really use her skills everytime it's available. So technically Mlynar damage is still way higher than Degenbreacher

my say is on Degen. Mlynar can't really do anything during his 40 second cooldown other than reflect a bit of damage against Ranged Enemies.
Sure, he absolutely makes up for it by dealing mad damage on-skill but when compared to Degen, I say someone who deals that much damage while also being somewhat useful off-skill is better, meta-wise.
(im one to speak on degen's behalf when im skipping her.)

That 40S is bigger than Degen's 30S and yet Mlynar does much less during his larger cooldown..
@silhouette9699 it is 42 SP to be precise. During his first activation, he has extra SP after being deployed so maybe that's it? or maybe on IS where skill costs can be lowered?
I initially wanted to skip her, then decided to pull for the first 5* to build pity for Ulpianus, in the end got weak and got her in pull 24 out of 30.
First pull, first time I'm ever had that happen. Degen said save for the others and have a great day.
Got her through the Distinction certificate which i got the minimum amount to buy after shop after finishing 6-17 and getting amiya copy. Literally pulled her at last ticket. Although was sad though finishing chapter 6 as you know what happened.

I got degenbrecher in my 60th pull, so I still have enough for the R6 collab 😂 sharing some luck to others for their own pulls.
Did 100 pulls, I just want Leto TBH but keep getting off banners 5 stars and finally got her instead 😢

Used 210 pulls and didn't get a single virtuosa. Got 6 vivianas :(. Anyway. Got degen on first 10 pull. Helped me out a little. Now may just save till W alter.
60 pulls and get 2 blue bag and only 1 six star, already half gave in on her but in the end managed to get her. Didn't know if i was consider lucky or not, but now i'm happy with 0 orondum and 1 mommy degen
Since she is not limited... i am guessing she will come home in the next limited banner, as many of the meta units in the game have come to me.

Idk if you already pulled but it depends on your stack and if you already have other burst carriers like Mlynar. Having one already makes your game lots easier, 2 is better but not by much. Also, If you could wait 6 months, Wisadel gonna push her out of the water anyway.
The only two things that prevents me for pulling her are 2 hrs left maintenance and my drowsiness. I feel like I'm gonna pass out soon. 😅

Degen is just really good tbh. Nothing else to say dont think just pull she is a meta unit that every serious Arknights player should be gettin. Only exception is you have a pot 6 M3 Mlynar or sth then yeah you do not need to pull BUT Degen is just Mlynar 2.0 period, and that is the best compliment I can give her tbh.

As much as I dislike her kit for being generic af, you can compare the skill of Ch'en, Irene and Degen for each skills to see that, I still have to say she is strong and her default portrait is pretty good, like cmon, women in suit is just perfect.
Since Module data blocks 1 are way the scarcest resource nowadays... It's safe to keep her without module until a second module is announced?
Her current module is really good for dmg (about 25% increase at Mod X lvl 3). If her second module is Mod Y, getting extra def ignore won't help her that much since her Talent 2 already ignores a lot. Historically, Mod Y has not been worth it for Swordmasters and Irene sadly never got Mod X.
Edit: If you want to save blocks, Mod X lvl 1 is good enough
