I think Giannis is disrespected because he isn't an American. He is culturally different, and he doesn't fit the stereotype of the angry, cool NBA player. He is nice, fun-loving and he isn't American. So, small-minded Americans don't like him.

The most amazing thing about Giannis is that he never gave up on his dream. He lived in poor conditions when he was in Greece, he shared his shoes with his brother cause they had only one pair, he shared his Fanta cause they couldn't afford to pay for a second, they lived in a small apartment in a poor neighborhood in Athens, he helped his family from a young age selling things on the streets. Only respect for this man and his amazing family...

It's great to see how humble Giannis is, he actually went up and shook the raptors hands after the bucks lost to them in 2019 ECF, most of the "superstars" would just walk out all pissed looking for the next super team to play with. Not Giannis, he kept grinding with people he trusted and has built something beautiful. Giannis is an amazing player on the court and an amazing person off the court and that's something you don't see a lot of when the super stardom gets to other players heads. Much respect for Giannis. You're building something long lasting here in Milwaukee and us in the 414 salute you!!!!!

I swear a year ago half of y'all were saying he should leave the Bucks and he was overrated and a choker and now he's a legend and inspirational and the best player in the league. Us real Bucks fans have been here watching him grow since 2013 and turning one of the worst teams in NBA history in to a contender year after year. Every single day through the playoffs I wore one of my Giannis jerseys (even under my work clothes) and slept with my Bucks t shirt on. We kept the faith and knew he could do it and he proved the doubters wrong in the most incredible way possible.
Shout out to Brandon Jennings too! BUCKS IN 6 BABY THEY DID IT

When he first got drafted he was this 6’7 190 pound kid now he’s this 6’11 242 pound freak of nature. He did that by putting all the work in, hours in the gym. Let's go back in time. In the finals of 2021, where the Bucks and Giannis Antetokoumbo wrote an epic. When "Greak Freak" was back from a shock injury in the series with the Hawks. Knee overextension was the diagnosis and a Greek superstar overcame it in record time. Or did he never get over it? Speaking to "Athletic" he explained what exactly happened and how he struggled with the risk of completely dislocating his knee. "If my knee got overextended again, I was done. There was nothing to cut there. I was already broken. The piece that protects me from a possible cruciate ligament rupture or ligament rupture had already been cut. This prevents your foot from going completely in the opposite direction. It was torn. "So if I got another overextension, it would be the end for me," said Antetokunbo. But the story does not end there, as Giannis also explained the reason why he refused to wear a patella. "Damn it! No. No way. I'm not wearing this shity. "The Bucks told me that Goran Dragic and Tim Duncan wear that." He then justified his decision, remembering his parents: "I have this mentality, with my mom and dad, when they worked in Greece, they did not feel pain. Why; Why should I feel pain now. They were not in pain, they were not moaning. I did not see my dad crying because it hurts. Not even my mother. That's how I grew up. This is my philosophy, it was not for me ",
