    Be honest... it died 2 weeks later didn't it?? Putting those freshly cut roots under all that wet substrate is a perfect recipe for rot.

      It was thriving after this. It parished due to frost during my move in January

    Put cinnamon on the cuts next time and let lt dry out before planting 👍

    Thanks for this simple instructional video. I’ve been looking for some inspiration for repotting one of my desert roses and the rock option is very creative and easy to do. Thanks again.

    This is one magnificent Desert Rose. Nice trunk and this tutorial on the working of the root system for repotting is very easy to follow. Excellent video.

    If you cut the roots off to the trunk, the roots will grow outwards from the cut site instead of growing down. You'll have an insane nebari in a season or 2. Thank you for your time making the videos.

    Easier way to remove soil is run it under hose water and free roots with no damage

    I had a desert rose for about three years. Never got any bigger than the day I planted it. Never had a single flower. Finally it died. 😢

    Hoping your plant will pick up...no cinnamon, turmeric or any other fungicide to seal up were you cut it?

    Could you soak the dirt off the roots?

      It will heal by itself as long as it above the ground but if it's in dirt or soul soil under the soil use cinnamon for a fungicide

  • @jimarbos683
    @jimarbos683 Před 5 měsíci +1

    Why didn’t you clean your blade before you cut the roots and branches. Also no fungicide on the cuts.

      If a plant is that delicate it's not worth it. I never clean anything unless it's really bad

    It was very painful watching you butcher that beautiful desert rose plant.
    Never have I seen, such needless destruction of plant life.
