@lukudav You have every right to dislike this version, but you have no right to assume things to provide fundament to your opinion. Did you know that while in exhile Caetano lived for months in London, England? Did you know he has a philosophy degree? I think he was perfectly capable to understang the song's meaning. I can't say the same for you understanding his intentions with his "appaling voice". FYI, he intended to reproduce the "nightingale tune".

I'm not a fan of Caetano as a person, but his musicality is incredible and his songs are amazing as well... for those of you here who are not Brazilian and have enjoyed this, you should listen to "Você é Linda" "Debaixo dos Caracois" "Você Não Me Ensinou a Te Esquecer" "Sozinho" and "Sampa" which are some of his greatest hits.
