How to Leave Guarma Easy, Avoid Sniper, No Mods, No Cheats - Red Dead Redemption 2

- I play on Xbox, I'm post epilogue, no mods, no cheats, no horse OR donkey, Guarma is restricted, and there's an invisible sniper. If you're in a similar situation, this is the best way to get back to the mainland! I've got info here that I've yet to see anywhere else.

There is a way to avoid the invisible sniper's shoots. It is the only way without any cheat. You must kill a pig and take it on your shoulder. The sniper shoots the pig and not John's head. Simply, you have to walk and have the camera turned so as John's head is not visible. I discovered this by chance.
By Turing the camera you mean look behind??
No. You must set the camera at third person view (not the first person) - for example as shown in this video. Then, kill a pig and take it on your shoulder. Then, turn the camera a little, so that John is seen from behind and a little from the left, and the pig completely covers John's head (you should always hold the camera in this setting when walking). The sniper's bullets will always hit the pig and not John's head as long the pig covers the head. The sniper keeps shooting no matter how far you go on the map, but he will always hit the pig and not John's head! -(works perfectly on PS4).@@maddown9324
@@maddown9324 Basically you just can't look at his head. There is a similar glitch for arthur and new austin where you use a horse with a carriage. The carriage blocks the view of arthur and so the invisible sniper can't get him.

I did the drink by the cliff, then run to Guarma. What irritated me was being sniped. When you die in Guarma you respawn in Guarma. You can save your progress in Guarma as John. When you reload the save, it automatically moves you to the main map. Thanks, this gives me an option to try if I do the whole drunk by a cliff thing again.
It worked for me as Arthur in chapter 4 at the first i was in gurma there was no sniper but since i start the solider trap it started and i had no way to outing guarma but this thing worked thank you buddy 🤝

HEY MAN THANK YOU THIS TOTALLY WORKED! I was stuck. This trip was a pain in the ass overall, for a few animals. I've used 30 stamina tonics....lost my whole night 😂
PS. For the guys that are having trouble with alarming the guards, I think you have to reload the game, not just try again if you've already been shot at and died. It looks like they remember and you have to go 'clean'. I said hello only to one guard at the beginning and ran across that field and it worked

I realy fucked around and found out i did the drinking by the cliff ran til i saw guarma on the man drowned myself spawned in guarma whent into the restricted area and left it no problem i could go to sinco tores and beyond but when i got back to the restrickted area i shot a guard died and respawned then after that the sniper started spawning and now im stuck this method in the vid aint working
Igot shot by the inv sniper, while it was loading i exited the game and re entered. Spawned me south of Braithwaite manor

If you play as John and start and cancel "bare knuckle friendships" just as youre shot by the sniper, you will get the "dead" screen then respawn as Arthur. You can then explore the island without the sniper or any of the guards harming you, but weird things happen like if you kill a pig you will lose honour and get a wanted level. And if you kill any people the sniper will come back.

I tried to say hi and walk but every time I did the snipers got me. I finally just ran buy everyone without saying anything but still followed everything else thank you I'm finally almost done with all the animals

Did something change in the last number of months? I followed these instructions to the letter, and I always draw the sniper. I have found there are invisible lines on the map you cant cross. I even can trigger the sniper in the camp/spawn area if I go to certain spots.
The furthest I have gotten north is running through the crop fields, running right along the wall of Aguasdulces, but eventually, it triggers anyway.
It almost seems like if I'm near a hut, building, main road, or out in the open (past the invisible lines), it triggers...no matter what. But, if I run back across that invisible line, the sniper stops shooting, and I'm fine.
So, I have boundaries, but I can stay safe if I stay within them...thoughts?
That's weird. Honestly there are so many things with the game that don't make sense, just in basic function, that I really have no idea. One thing that works perfectly for most might not work at all for you. I've talked to some people who claim to have never had a glitch with the game and were surprised others do. All I have are glitches. I'd be surprised if anything has changed with the game recently, I think R* has forgotten about it completely.

Try loading the new save in the main menu if you spawn back at Guarma, that's what I had ro do to spawn in Rhodes

Easiest way to get back from guarma is replay a mission, fail it then cancel it I was trying this don’t attract attention method for ages with no luck

just replay a mission,fail it and then cancel the mission,it works,trust me.
Just close the game then reopen it and u should spawn back in the mainland with al ur progress and skins from guarma still there
once you get out of the restricted area, you could probably use a cheat code to get a race horse; Run! Run! Run! is the code.

Do you know if you can get the sun hat using this glitch? It spawns on a gaurd during the mission where you save javier and i missed it.
I don't know, I didn't check while I was there. If it's a hat that is normally found on guards there then most likely. I'll have to go back and check, if I ever feel like playing again.

Hi got through aok.. filled the animals i needed. Travelled back. Woke up in Rhodes but cant save hame how come?
Did you use any cheats on that trip? That's the only thing I can think would keep you from saving. Or a glitch/bug with the game, which there are plenty of.
@@DeffyMarsden all sorted.. I used the cheat Run! Run! Run! Which spawned me a horse to get to guarma.. and then I couldn't save. Turned the cheat off.. walked to guarma.. got all I needed.. full compendium done.. yabba dabba dooooo

To hunt those animals, can you use a rifle? So not to alert those guards? Of the bow?
LOL Honestly I can't really remember how I got the animals. I think I used my rifle outside of the restricted area and that was fine. All along the river/creek is where you'll find pretty much everything you need, and it's outside of the restricted zone.
I used a varmint rifle and a bow since there are mostly small animals in Guarma.
Easiest way is to replay any mission. After that you are back to america.
I'm playing as Arthur in the epilogue on guarma and I can't escape, every method I tried I just end up back on guarma

@@DeffyMarsden Yeah, I'm using save editor and replaced my player with healthy Arthur during 1907. I know you probably can't help me but I'm wondering if you have any ideas. And no, I can't do a different save with Arthur as I have payed someone to do it.

That sucks. A lot of times I walked towards those donkeys, there would be some guard walking through the brush alongside the field. Check there as you walk by, and if there is one, say hi to them. Might help.

Êtes-vous en train de dire bonjour à tous ceux avec qui vous marchez ? Si vous voyez un groupe, il vous suffit de dire bonjour à l'un d'entre eux. J'ai eu beaucoup de problèmes avec les gardes qui marchaient à travers les buissons et les arbres et je ne savais pas qu'ils étaient là, donc je ne leur ai pas dit bonjour. Je ne m'en suis rendu compte que lorsque j'ai commencé à me faire tirer dessus et que je me suis retourné pour voir un garde en grande partie caché juste à côté de moi, et cela s'est produit plusieurs fois. De plus, vous n’êtes pas obligé de suivre exactement le même chemin que moi. Si vous vous contentez de passer et de dire bonjour à tout le monde, vous devriez pouvoir marcher n'importe où.
Je ne suis pas certain d'avoir bien compris votre réponse. Sachez qu'il n'y avait aucune animosité dans mon propos et mon bonjour était pleinement cordial. J'ai parcouru beaucoup de vidéo pour chercher une solution au sniper. Et me concernant, la votre n'a pas fonctionné pour moi. J'ai essayé sans succès votre parcours et plusieurs autres en marchant et saluant les soldats et les indigènes... ni même avec l'âne, ni en passant par les rochers dans l'eau... Dommage, je referai Guarma avant le chapitre 5 pour être enfin libéré du sniper.

There might be. None of the tips or tricks I initially found worked for me so I gave up and figured things out for myself.

I get shot when I whent to one of the main town a few minutes, but i had another run where I saw almost everything
