Appears to be inspired by the Heckler & Koch UMP though I may be wrong. But its credible that a soldier has designed it rather than some nerd engineer who generally lack design skills

No. The lower receiver is based on the Glock pistol, the upper is similar to pistol conversion kits like the Roni but instead of retaining the pistol slide utilises a proper SMG bolt.

It's cartridge is 9x19 mm luger. So 100 meters max.

The problem with JVPC is it uses completely different 5.56×30mm MINSAS round. Indian army don't want any round which puts additional logistic burden.

Indian army using 7.62x51, 7.62 x39 5.56x45 and 9 mm rounds already they don't want to add jvpc 5.56x30 round in their arsenal as it will create logistics issues, asmi using 9 mm rounds therefore asmi fits army requirements
