This dance...... and this song - stay in my head. As much as the whole Dance Moms thing was a continuing drama, some of the dances that came out of it - are ionic...and never to be repeated.

I want to like this duet, but that entire scenario really hits close to home. I, too had a friendship that was damaged by adults. I still can’t help but wonder what could’ve been if it hadn’t have been for those adults and remember watching this episode for the first time and wanting to tell Maddie and Chloe that I knew exactly how they felt.

Depends on what your looking for, Kailani is a great technician.....Maddie had incredible performance and I live for her contraction also her turns were noticeably stronger! Both great dancers but performance wise Maddie held the duo together

Everyone saying how much better Kalani is needs to realise everyone dances different! Everyone hated Abby for comparing kids but then do it themselves in the comments. Kalani is also older than Maddie and has had far superior training 🤦🏻♀️
I think Abby wanted that kind of duet partner for Maddie. Someone who would extend her without being completely out of her league. Chloe was no longer taking lessons, only filming, so she was not improving enough to keep up with Maddie, who was homeschooling so she could dance more. The other alternative was Kendall but Kendall had never put in the work to get up to Maddie's level and wouldn't have challenged her. Paige and Nia just weren't good enough.

@@Anicam567loe and Paige had a duet called "wishbone". Abby thought they couldn't win, so she secretly entered this duet. Even Maddie and Melissa didn't know about it. The reason why they know the duet and they have the hair and costume, is because they were at performed if af NUVO before this, the hair was the same hair for the group, and it is normal to bring an extra costume. Anyway, Chloe asked Maddie if she was doing the duet, Maddie thought they weren't so she said no. But it turns out they were doing it and it was a surprise to everyone, and christi, kelly, and chloe thought Maddie lied, and christi got into a big fight with melissa, and kelly got into a HUGE fight with Abby. Kelly said something, and Abby tried to bite Kelly's face, and kelly slapped and pulled Abby's hair. Then, Brooke, Paige, and Kelly left dance moms
Kalani’s technique is clearly superior but you just cannot take your eyes off Maddie

I understand why maybe Chloe would be upset about this. She was young and was partnered with Maddie her whole life. But what the Moms needed to understand (and to teach their daughters) was that there was always someone better. You are not always going to be the best. Or the second best. It doesn’t matter how amazing you are, someone out there is better than you. The moms taught their daughters that seniority triumphs over all. She has overall better technique and showmanship? Pfft I’ve been here for 7 years I deserve it more. You don’t deserve anything, you earn it. The moms needed to teach their daughters that. ESPECIALLY Melissa and Christi, since their daughters were the best on the elite team. Christi needed to learn that Chloe wanst always going to be the 2nd best and wasn’t always going to be partnered with Maddie, and that no one gives a crap that your daughter was there since she was 2. And Melissa needed to learn that Maddie wasn’t the greatest dancer to ever inhabit this earth. It was clear that Melissa thought Maddie was the best probably in the entire country, and that absolutely nobody could come even close to here level. God, these moms seriously just needed to get a grip.

Stop saying this broke Dance Moms. We all knew Kelly was going to leave someday. Christi and Kelly surpassed the limit. I mean, they always act childish and ridiculous, but today it was over the top. They called Maddie and Kalani liars, bursted an 11 year old girl into tears, made huge fight with Abby in front of the kids, confronted Melissa and all because of a misunderstood. Christi and Kelly are jute vil poisonous snakes who cant get ver the fact that their kids are horrendous dancers. Maddie is a professional though. Not only because of her exquisite dancing, but because of her maturity and her ability to go and slay every dance even when everything seems to fall down. That shows her huge passion for dance. In all my life, I’ve never seen someone pull of a routine with the technique and emotion Maddie does. If she is not the best under 18 dancer in the WHOLE WORD. Imagine, you have to learn your dance in a week, you go through a HUGE amount of stress, but you still win your solo, slay your duet/trio and rock the group dance. Not every dancer has that ability. Moms, accept it. Your kids will NEVER be in her level. Maybe they should try another sport. Don’t blame the beautiful dance the girls slayed, blame that inmature evil “mothers”, who are the real reason that broke Dance Moms.
They were not horrendous dancers. Their mothers completely destroyed their chances on that team, they lost most of their confidence from Abby AND their own mothers.

Lol Chloe behind the curtain (staring) wondering why she's not paired with Maddie. Instead, the new girl surpassed you in technique so she got the winning duet with her. Christie was used to Chloe being second best, therefore she was paired with Maddie, as the only other dancer who could keep up. Enter Kalani (and any new girl, for that matter) and her 2nd place was usurped, lol. Chloe got complacent and passed on for girls with better technique. Spend more time dancing and less listening to your mother tell you that you are perfect, because you aren't.
