This is the most thorough study I have ever heard on the doctrine of tongues and I have had the Holy Ghost, speaking, praying and singing in tongues for almost 30 years.

As one who has been filled with the spirit for over 20 years, one Corinthians 14 verses 2:5 is not referring to a “unknown “term. The word “unknown quote is italicized in the king James so it would read something like, he who speaks in a town does not speak to men but to God. It is simply a tongue or a language. So there is no third category. It would either be a noun language or a language of heaven. When you see words italicized in the king James, those words at least mini times were not in the original. The translators use that to help us and sometimes it doesn’t sometimes it doesn’t. Also, in one Corinthians 12:1 when it says “now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, “the word gifts is also italicized. The word is spiritual us in Greek. It could be translated spiritual things or matters pertaining to the spirit, etc. This seems to be because Paul in chapters 12 through 14 and even on him to 15 is speaking of all types of spiritual things, he gives his outline in verses four through six. He is speaking about gifts, administrations/services/ministries, and operations/energizing‘s/effects, etc. So he is discussing gifts ministries and operations, not just gifts.
