- So I've literally been mapping out this video in my head for the past 10 years, and I always believed that this song should play in the finale, but unfortunately, that did not happen among many other things. So here is what should have been
(this is NOT just the 15x19 montage)
im crying. the father son and the holy ghost part. this is amazing.

i fucking love the verse where the sam section is "do you have faith in god above?" and dean is "do you believe in rock and roll?" it's just them. it's them.
and this song is just fucking perfect, it's nostalgic, it's grieving, it's full of joy and rage and sadness and just. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The CHILLS I got when you put Dean as the father, Sam as the son and cas as the Holy Ghost. Ughhhh such good editing of such a good show to such a good song.
AND how sam was paired to the verse about believing in god and dean was paired to the verse about believing in rock and roll
They should've used this instead of the montage in 15x19
I have been limiting my contact with Supernatural since the finale was so damaging to me, but this was incredibly healing! Thank you so much for this! And I love every time the word blue comes up we've got Cas' eyes to look at. :)
golly i sure loved this canonical montage that was place at the end of 15x19 as the very last piece of media from supernatural. It was such a great and impressive way to end the show and definitely not have any more come after. 😃👍

ok the slow opening with no edits going into sam dean and cas' verses is SO good it just fits perfectly. and the middle with SO many cuts that must've been a beast to edit. and when it winds down with dean and cas and sam and eileen. the father son and holy ghost. and when i realized what was going on with all of the HUGS and the GOOD TIMES OUGHHH....

I've watched this about once a week since it got uploaded. The way the context of the scenes match up to the lyrics clearly took a fuckton of work. I have a few favorite parts but I think the top one is when Anna's death syncs to "Bye bye miss American Pie". Thanks for the upload and the effort put into this👍

i've watched this quite a few times in the month since you posted it and god, does it hit me hard every time. i get all sniffly and teary and basically, this has beat out 15 years worth of fandom memories to become my all-time favorite amv/fanvid - and i mean, any and all fandoms. i'm almost done rewatching the show with my mother who has never seen the later seasons (other than the finale, which she hated) and after 15x19 i'm just going to have her watch this as our big ending

Every time I get sad about how SPN ended I watch your video and I think about how good it could have been if the writers gave an iota of the same care about the relationships on the show as you did in this vid. This time watching the father-son-holy ghost & hugs at the end got me crying!!
