In this video I decided to use up a load of scrap fabrics/leftovers I had from all the projects this summer. I used free motion embroidery and appliqué on heat-away stabilizer which is really easy to use and brush off.
thanks so much for watching this.♥️

What do you work as?
After doing my Textiles degree I did my PGCE teacher training at Goldsmiths, University of London to become an Art and Design Secondary School Teacher. Currently, I work in a hospital teaching art part-time to mainly 16 -18 year olds. In addition, I teach art in my studio on Saturdays and I give textile workshops to schools. I set up this channel in April 2020 after being furloughed during lockdown but soon realised I really enjoyed designing, creating projects, filming and editing my videos....so if you'd like to support me please subscribe! I would love to spend more time making extra videos every week 😍

I’ve only seen a few minutes of this video and realised the peel and stick embroidery fabric will work the same! It washes away rather than heat. I going to watch all your video before running off to my sewing machine! I bought a roll of vlieseline peel and stick at a bargain price, I now have 25m of it! I’ve always used the cling film type wash away which you can mist with water to keep fabrics held before putting another layer on top and putting in a hoop. I love how much the materials have developed over time, makes sewing so fun!
Thank you so much for watching please don't forget to share the channel!🌸❤︎
This is a fun technique. You can even put sparkly candy wrappers in it and cut-outs from patterned fabrics. It can be widely varied, depending on your project. Even layered with tulle or a sheer, trapping small pieces or leftover threads inside as you do your free motion embroidery. Really like this technique. Have a beautiful day! :)
Yes it's great isn't it! thank you
Have you thought about putting organza or tulle over your piece ?
I love both fabrics so I shall...! thank you
Класс!!!
Aww thanks
