    Honestly, I don't think we need Ben Zobrist and Johnny Cueto. I think we can repeat. Social media can say what they want (expecting us to be at least 84-80) but I think we can defend our crown. Nice video. Go Royals!🙌

    I think the Royals' motto for 2016 should be "Keep the Line Moving."

    The extremely frustrating thing about this team is that they continuosly defy the advanced metrics that stat heads such as myself cling to, which is quite impressive in its own way. I have to admit that my frustration with the Royals stems from jealously. I am a life long Cleveland Indians fan; seeing an inter-division rival succeed on such a high level when my team continues to have near postseason misses hurts. Regardless, my block-letter-C adornded cap is off to you Royals and your fans, maybe we'll meet in the ALCS next year *fingers crossed*

    Salvador Perez definitely deserved the World Series MVP. He got a pair of home runs, a couple of hits, and picked off at least 2 Mets runners.

    • @hailthechief2
      @hailthechief2 Před 8 lety

      +Rawk4Life Escobar had a great series also, but honestly all year Perez has been their MVP no question. But how do you place an MVP on a team sport? It was actually surprising Perez was one of the few catchers to win the accolade.

    • @Rawk4Life
      @Rawk4Life Před 8 lety

      +Jack Poontaint Perez is more than just an MVP, he's a team player and a leader. Without his cheerful spirit, motivation, and light hearted joking in the Royals dug out and club house, who knows if they would have made it back to the World Series this early in the century?

    • @hailthechief2
      @hailthechief2 Před 8 lety

      Perez is the best catcher and team player in baseball. handsdown. Noone had even one complaint that he was MVP.

    As a Royals fan, the scariest part of the whole postseason was the Eighth Inning in Game 4 of the ALDS at Houston. All Houston needed was six outs and they would have faced Toronto. Not Salvy getting beat to a pulp, not the tension that Cueto brought to the mound, not Gordon's controversial HR in game 6 of the ALCS, not the 14th inning battle in Game 1 of the WS, not the Bottom of the 9th in Game 5 of the WS, but the Eighth inning of game 4 of the ALDS.

      +91ddub09 They do celebrate on the field, they just don't bring out kegs and gallon bottles of champagne on the field for the fields sake I guess. It would be awesome to see a bunch of drunk Royals pour Everclear on the field and light it on fire in a giant KC in the Mets outfield however. That would be as memorable as this series in which the Mets stood 0 chance. I made 20 grand off of this series because it was a no brainer who would win.

    It really makes me laugh how nearly all talking heads and pundits didn't even have the Royals making the playoffs. I mean sure they lost James shields and Billy Butler and Nori Aoki, but who on that list is really a team carrier? Shields? Maybe, but he was shit for the Padres, so, I'd rather have Volquez. And Butler wasn't great, he was more of a cult following type of guy, I'd take a healthy Morales any day of the week hitting and defensivley. Aoki and Rios were similar, but Paulo Orlando came through huge throughout the season, I hope they keep him in right field for at least the next season, he deserves it and has talent you don't have to pay up for.
    Re-sign Alex Gordon and the world series could be the Royals again, their not losing anyone big they didn't start the season without- and had the division locked up for the most part before they wen't and grabbed guys.

      @MegaLynn11 Před 8 lety +1

      +Jack Poontaint its a team efffort no matter how any one swings it. aoki made alot of plays in the first season. ok thats all i have lol. im thankful for aoki is all im saying. well and the people who want to stay at kc. and not for money lol. common they want the money tho lol. but why am i speaking to ya with that name and facial expression in the headlines hehhehehehe.

    • @hailthechief2
      @hailthechief2 Před 8 lety +1

      +aaron stephenson For sure it is a team effort, and no other team besides the Royals exemplifies that (the Giants do when they are healthy IMO). I remember the days where it was painful to watch 6-9 hitters, and yet the Royals don;t give two finger bangs for the long ball. Aoki is a good player, and I would actually say that he is better than Rios, but there is little difference and Rios has bigger longball upside. Personally, I would take Orlando and Dyson switching off over Aoki or Rios. Dyson is a fast lefty and Orlando is a fast righty that both can play the outfield like Speed Racer., if Dyson was more reliable as a hitter he would be one of the best base hitters in the game because of his speed. HI mean seriously hit choppers up the middle and he is on 4/5 of the time, that is how fast he is. He jsut swings and misses. Rios showed promise until he was hurt and basically forgot how to make contact.

  • @hailthechief2

    Welcome the best team of 2015 into 2016, again are underdogs to even win the division. LOL, when will people learn. The royals didn;t have Cueto or Zobrist for most of the year and yet they were still a head above the headless in the the AL. Bring back the same core and they are maybe an 80 win team and Cleveland has 90 wins? LOL where do people eat the shit from the sewers now adays? The Royals have the best defense in all of the Majors, there is no argument about that. They can hit top to bottom, and hopefully Infante takes lessons from Moustakas about clutch hitting for this next year. Dyson will have 50 SB's if he starts over Orlando, and this is going to be that nightmare team again for teams to play. Though I am weary on SP. Ventura and Volquez, OK, but Duffy, Vargas, Young, etc, who will show up and stay healthy? That is the question. Bullpen is a no brainer, top 5 in majors even without madson and Holland.
