I have the nothing phone 2 and my wife uses S23. I used to think the S23 was more fluid for some reason. Sometimes the animations in one UI gives a more fluid look than things just appearing.
They were very fluid. They're going to get better with the upcoming OneUI 6.0, so be ready for that! And Android 14 is about to make its real release so 😂

In my personal opinion, i prefer the S23 because its compact and i love all the things that we can do with One UI, i've been using this phone for 5 months and i love it, also, a great phone the Nothing 2😁
I really wonder what happened with the Samsung animations and reloads today. It never did that in your other speed tests. I guess it's not as consistent as I expected it to be as time goes on :(
@@nickackermanchannelIt should. Once it gets the actual Android 14 and OneUI 6 update, it should get better. Most people have stated this issue started this month when they updated their phones to the OneUI 6 Beta.
A phone without a telephoto lens is a turnoff for me. Should be standard for flagship and mid-range devices. Hopefully Nothing considers improving the camera in the future and I'll consider buying.
as much as i love the nothing phone 2, and the glyph interface, i think i'll go with a used s23/s23+. im more used to one ui and i love the customization options they have (such as goodlock and the themes store, so i dont need a third party launcher that ruins animations). the new one ui 6 animations are an amazing upgrade as well.
You're loading tests are setup to benefit a phone with more RAM. Double loading apps is going to especiqlly help. The higher capacity and faster RAM will benefit in these type of scenarios. The processor chip is much better on the the s23, which you state, but i think your argument is that the user experience isnyt all that different. I would tend to agree with that since most android apps dont stress the processors that much. Overall battery life of each phone would be worth knowing and interesting, anything on that? That bigger brighter screen might lunch the batttery pretty easy, on the other hand it might have a bigger battery to start with since the phone is so huge. 8 gen 1 was a huge step for efficiency and thus battery life, not sure if any efficiency is gained with new 8gen 2 - both are 3nm is my understanding, is there an actual loss in efficiency with gen 2 since its so much faster and has a presumably faster clock speed?
Hey , not trying to be mean or anything but i would recommend if u could maybe edit more the videos like the hands placement, or like i have seen in other , what should i call them , tech reviewers, it would help you grow more if that's your goal , if u would maybe consider to put more effects , or different stuff on the table or angles but overall i am really thankful to you for your honest, hand to hand , real and no bias reviews. It feels like there's something going on with S23, because even my old S9 is faster opening apps. Considering that and, e.g., the Geekbench results, this does not seem like a realistic representation of the S23 performance
U can change animation speed manualy, also nothingphone add app in cache when u first open them, u can change that also in S23 to keep them in cache lot longer... also, if u test phones. restart both phones until u starting to test them.
Keep raising your voice maybe Samsung finally hears you and decides to work on those animation since they don't pay attention to us the average consumer even if we send complaints on Samsung members

Nick I noticed when you turned on both phones, the s23 had like a warning notification straight away maybe that’s to do with the lag and chop from the speed test.
I have the s23 ultra and I've had so many connectivity issues. Mostly on Instagram and other social media apps. Like I have to close the app and reopen it for it to send messaged and it lags to load and I've been having issues with fortnite crashing mid game while my s21 runs it perfectly fine.

I do not have one but i do know that one of the owner of one plus has launched this nothing phone and as you can see in the video when he opened the app CZcams, Play Store and some other applications that runs on network....nothing phone is quite faster than S23 and i am thinking of buying it

Even my oneplus 10t is equally as fast as nothing phone 2 with same looking animations like the nothing phone 2... I was thinking to upgrade to s23 but the animations let me down, so im really happy with my OnePlus 10t because the samsung slows over time and this was my experience with the s21😢
I have s20 fe snapdragon bersion n i have never had any stutter for 2 years now.... The sqying that samsung lags over time is a myth now... Only budget samsung lag..not the flagship on... I'm planning to get the s23 this year
Just me or Nothings phone screen has lots of strobing effects. I know this is only captured on camera, but it most likely means the screen will strain your eyes more than the Samsung's.
please keep in mind comparing those two phones that the s23 will have software support until 2028, and nothing only until 2026, so no more software updates after that date
Display White balance is not proper in samsung s23. Nothing phone looks way better and similar to iphone display in white balance. Samsung 23 is bluish white in adaptive mode. In Normal mode it becomes more yellowish. I own samsung s23.
This has nothing to do with it, actually. It's the OneUI 6.0 Beta update that's causing it to be a bit laggy. I heard about this yesterday from some people who did their updates.

as a tech enthusiast using a custom rommed and custom kerneled redmi note 10 pro, i'd take the s23 over the nothing phone 2 anyway, the hardware is simply far better.. VASTLY better chip, MUCH better screen, much better cameras (and a zoom), and better fingerprint sensor
