I was on probation my first three semesters of college. Today I am a senior director in finance for a biotech. I found a way. There is always a way if you hang out with the right people and decide you will succeed no matter what.

Did you restart at the same college?
@@Kc-qe5dv I never left. I was at SDSU and finally turned it around by hanging out with four engineering students who inspired me to study. I graduated in 4 1/2 years and the rest is history.
@@ccohen1965 Did you pay for tuition all out of pocket after you restarted or did you receive, grants, or fafsa?
I failed my first 2 semester, I want to know wether I could afford the 4 years straight at the same college or go trough 2 years of community college first,
@@Kc-qe5dv I would definitely go the community college route if money is an issue. There is no reason for pay 4 year college fees for the first two years of a four year degree unless money is no object. I had one more semester to get off of probation (4th semester) or I would be expelled. I turned it around that 4th semester and got a 3.0, so I was never expelled. Good luck! Don't give up - stay on course and you will succeed if you want it bad enough.
yeah I failed 3 classes I felt like shit this is my first year in college I honestly didn't expect all this work I never had this much in highschool eventually my mental health also went down because of me failing my classes but I wanna come back this semester and seek more help

@@blocktheloo1820 I’m on quarter system, barely failed my calc class last quarter. This quarter just ended and I think ima fail at least one more class idk what to do

I took a gap year before college and it was 100% the best thing I did. I experienced some hiccups when I came back (I failed a course and got a few Cs) but I got a job and joined some clubs and now I’m getting As and Bs.
Freshman year in the fall of 2019, I missed every single class I took in college. It was rough since I was dealing with major personal issues at the time

I failed a few classes when I was in undergrad too. I attended paid tutoring during my second try and did well. It's a good investment to make. You can usually find places that tutor large groups at once that aren't too expensive.

I’m pretty sure I failed a class of mine (passed grade wise but won’t count as a prerequisite to another course I plan to take), I have a final tmr and my other class I passed with an A. I once too was honour roll student during high school. The change from high school to university, especially during covid with it being online made it real difficult to stay structured. Next semester will hopefully be better as I have in person classes for the majority. Even though I’m picking up one extra class this upcoming semester, I feel as though I will be able to concentrate better and raise my grades. As for the class I’m sure I failed, I currently feel like a disappointment and am sitting here self loathing. But at some point I started to think that I just need to re plan things. Re take the course and then take the one after that is required (takes longer and is annoying but needed). At the end of the day I could’ve tried harder, studied more or not had underestimated the class/workload. With that being said, I need to stay resilient and re plan.
You will be ok regardless! Even if you have to take the course again like I did. I took tutoring courses and finally passed after my 3rd try 🙈
If you are not satisfied with your GPA as you get closer to graduating, you can stick around for an extra summer or extra semester to take easy classes and raise your GPa
I dropped out of college and I went to trade school but the skill I learned took way longer than it should of. I’m a spoiled kid that isn’t taking adulthood seriously lol. Well, hopefully my job is easier than studying.

I was co-valedictorian in my class but when I went into college, I got a 2.72 GPA in my first semester. I slacked off in the second half of the semester.
But I got back in my second one. I got a C+ in a programming course in the first semester but am now on track for a B in another one now, as I got above average for everything being an underdog, with one assignment reaching 10 marks above average. I got B in a math course but now I am taking two and am on track to get an A in both now (especially stats, the average of the second assignment was much lower than usual, which caused me to get 11 marks above the average)
Great to hear you're back on track. If I could redo my undergrad, I would've stuck around for an extra semester to take some elective classes that would boost my GPA. Sounds like you're on track and won't need to do that!
@@WillKaliliI ended up with around 3.1 each in the next three semesters, and this semester it may be even higher than that, as I scored in the top-25% of the class in three midterms. My classes often distribute 25% of A-range and 35% of B-range grades.

Your life is not over. All you do is retake the class and go to tutoring if you need to. Also, if it's a lower level class, you can take it at a community College and transfer the credit to your university. Just try again!

I’m failing one class, and my prof making my life. A living hell. I do good on homework and quizzes. I fail one exam, and I’m already getting emails about me withdrawing. I only failed my math exam, because I couldn’t understand the word problems . I understand everything else. The word problems threw me off. Even when I understand some topics she do on some boards and prove to her . I understand. It’s still not enough. There’s even times when the class don’t know the answer but I do. But I never get credit, cuz I’m too scared to speak out . Im just annoyed and frustrated. I was a previously an iep student. So adjusting to pre calc math, is a bit of a struggle. It dosent help shr give us homework 24-7. When it barley helps out grades Not giving us enough time to study

Keep doing your best. I know it's hard. But you will get through this. If you're struggling with the word problems, focus enough on those to better understand what the problem is asking for. Sometimes the word problems throw in unnecessary information to throw you off. Also, keep focusing on the problems you're already good at. No matter what happens, you will get through this :)
@@WillKalili update I managed to pull a 76.6 on my exam 2. So now my weighed grade for her is a 74 percent. I’m currently studying for the final. Wish me luck

i'm incredibly scared, I'm pretty sure I just failed 2 classes out of 3. With an F, I think i might lose my financial aid I don't even know what to do.
I got straight C's and failed a class my fall semester too. I think my gpa is going to go below 2.
Hey im in the same situation too, but this time i might lose my scholarship. I am willing to file a appeal form for my scholarship, hopefully they understand my mental health.

Oh God, me too. I attended no classes this semester and missed three exams. I have been dealing with a lot in my head. Let's all hope our scholarships aren't revoked.

Dude I’m attending TAMU right now as a freshman and I’m literally struggling, my first semester is not gonna look pretty.
Keep pushing thru. There are also tutoring services offered around cstat that I utilized to get through some of the tougher courses. Tutor John was one of those but there are others that are affordable too

Ive taken the same class and failed it twice. I want to take it again but idk if they will let me. I feel like an idiot. I was doing just fine with my other classes.
I failed a class twice and passed it on my last chance the third time. You got this!! You can check of maybe they offer it at a community College and then transfer it into you university. Check with your advisor.

Because I’ve taking it 3 times already.
@@mirake601 it depends on the school but for me, there was no limit. I just had to pass the class before I could move up to upper-level courses.
