    That dynamic range with that Sony is amazing. I'm a professional videographer and your stuff is fantastic, keep it up. ❤ From Loveland Colorado.

    Nice video Kevin - good idea with the bike. Tackling Massive this weekend from the same trailhead.

      Thanks! It looks like those mountains might have a little bit of snow, so take layers and microspikes!

    I'm amazed you had the summit entirely to yourself, even on a Tuesday. Hitting Massive for my #12 this weekend, good video Kevin!

    Hi
    Getting ready to hike this September 12th 2024. Did you record your mileage and time? All trails has 7bmiles each way, time is subjective but as a reference

    • @KevinFedde
      @KevinFedde  Před 9 dny

      @@johneason6540 it’s been a few years, but I think 14-15 miles sounds about right. I think it took me like 7 hours with filming/photo stoppages. I remember cruising the first 3-4 miles in the dark in like an hour and 10 minutes or so then slowing down when the sun was coming up to get photos/video. I think the road to the trailhead is open now as well, whereas it was closed when I did it so taking my bike to the actual trailhead changed the time up a bit as well.

    Great video, Kevin. How did Massive compare to Elbert in terms of difficulty? Also - do you know when the road to the TH is supposed to open? Many thanks.

      Thanks so much! Waiting on a new computer before editing my Mt Sneffels and 3 other 14ers videos, but I think they are all going to be as good or better than this one!

    How did you get the summit all to yourself? That's awesome. Hoping to get in Mount Massive before the end of the summer.

      @@johnmcnail3224 I don’t remember exactly since this was a few years ago. Usually for the Sawatch mountains it was between 5 and 8 hours I think. Though stopping for filming doesn’t help with that either!

    Snap! Filmed on the A1? How are you liking it as a hybrid?

    • @KevinFedde
      @KevinFedde  Před 3 lety +1

      Really loving it! Its definitely the best hybrid top-tier photo/video camera I have found! I do have an A7siii and an R5 as well and they are both kind of limited on one way or the other for a hiking camera, and the A1 basically mashes together the best parts of both.
