Thanks for this video and I have a question please. Does the figure for the cost of attendance need to match the "student funds" figure? Or the student fund can be more than the cost of attendance ?
The student funds figure must be equal to or greater than the cost of attendance ☺️
Note that you have to consider the source of student funds i.e the bank statement. Like if your sponsor has other dependants, you can’t just show the exact amount - needs to be way more …stuff like that. I hope you understand xx

Thanks for this video… So you mentioned your earliest admission date which is 12th July to be around the time you can travel to USA but they stated classes start from 22 August.. so like isnt that more than 30 days required to be in usa law or its the program start date which is 11 August that will be considered ? Will be glad to get a reply
They consider the program start date because that’s really when you need to be at the school (orientation, etc), not classes start date.

Good afternoon Esther, I noticed from your Form 1-20 that the part that states "Student Attestion" had been signed...I don't have mine signed yet by my Regulatory Compliance Specialist...is it necessary it must be signed before I go for the interview or it does not matter?
Student attestation is your signature which must be there before your interview
please the signature will it be electronic or you will print out the I-20 form and fill it with a pen?

Do you mean photocopy? You need the original document signed by the DSO and then yourself + (guardian if applicable)

My pleasure! So I actually had someone help me pay from the US, therefore I did not have to worry about that. As far I as know, people in Nigeria usually pay at the Seme border or using credible travel agents

Please when you applied to the school you're in, did you let them know that you went through a course? Did they request for transcripts?
Cause I'm in that kind of situation, I graduated from high school 6 years ago, applying for an undergraduate course in the US and I'm confused
I already finished a course in a university here but the course has no relation whatsoever to the course I want to study.
My course was only a pre-degree course (not an undergrad program) so I mentioned it but did not include my transcript. That would be optional.

Just confirming, you received your acceptance email yeah? Maybe you can ask the school for a tracking number. You need to let them know in case they need to send a new one

For any institution including English Language ones, you need to show the amount of money required by the college (tuition + fees).
Nothing really guarantees your F1 visa approval, you just have to prepare in every way; however availability of required funds is definitely one of the things that help.
When did you get your I-20?
Was it before or after you paid your enrolment fee or was it when you got admitted?
Did they send it with your application letter?

Yes, the only place for you on the I-20 is the signature. Everything else has been filled out by the school, good luck!

In my i-20 , for my program of study I saw computational science major 1, major 2 None but in my admission letter there is computational science: computational Engineering...I a bit confused, I want to fill my ds-160 , I don't know the course of study I will fill

It appears that computational engineering is a “concentration” under computational science at the college. Probably the case. You should just put computational science that’s on the I-20

You only receive your i-20 after receiving admission and paying any required fees. The timing depends on your school. Could take days or weeks

Hi Kaori, considering that schools follow different timelines; I cannot say whether two weeks is enough or too long. My best advice would be to get in contact with the admission office for an update. Good-luck!

It varies from school to school depending on their process. You have to check with your school
