We as a people existed before CZcams and internet (And it was a better time honestly) and we will survive long after.

@@GaryHicks Funniest thing about Jim Jeffries is his ignorance of anything related to guns. He doesn't even know the gun laws of his own country Australia which he is trying to champion. Australia didn't enact a gun ban or confiscate all guns. They banned some types of guns, but still there are literally millions of guns owned by civilians in Australia. His claim that there have been no mass murders in Australia since the Port Arthur massacre is completely false, there have been numerous mass murders including some with firearms.
His idea that guns don't protect people is pretty absurd as well. There were roughly 15k murders in the US in 2018, and roughly 2/3 of those were attributed to firearms, so 10k of the murders were gun related. Now on the other hand gun owners stop an average of 2.5 million crimes a year. It's a good thing guns aren't a good form of protection.
Violence occurs regardless. Maximising the lethality of the weapons used only maximises the death toll when it does. Civilian firearm ownership fuels the demand for people to obtain guns both legally and illegally to be on an even playing field while making them much cheaper. It provides both an incentive and accessibility for guns to be used for crime. By wanting guns so available, you're only making it so that there are bad guys with guns walking around that everyone now needs to protect themselves from with more guns.

@@callanc3925 There have been multiple studies on this and the lowest number is 1.5 million so that sort of makes your argument a bit silly. Whether the number is 1.5-2.5 million or higher, the number between murders caused with firearms 10,000 every year compared to the number of crimes that are stopped every year by armed citizens clearly indicates that firearms are doing far more to protect people and stop crime than they are just murdering people.

Yeah Australia banned guns and mass shootings drops. What also happened and what nobody talks about is home invasion and robbery crimes skyrocketed shortly after. Violence didnt drop it just shifted to other crimes that left the homeowners defenseless. Theres also more deaths from illegally owned pistols over assault rifles by far. The point Jefferies misses is that it's not having the gun on you that protects you, it's the criminals understanding that if they break into the house they could get shot so they choose not to do it that protects you
Ah the good old best dumbass argument. Keep trying to not understand why of course home invasions rise after a ban on a defense mechanism and you can protect yourself in other ways besides a deadly machine.

The threat of reciprocated violence keeps predators in check. If you take away the preys ability to defend itself the predator will strike. That goes for every single animal in the world. @@amazingcaucasian1 Fact is that there's never going to be a winner in the "gun ownership is legal vs gun ownership is illegal" argument. There's flaws to either side, arguments that'll be made that make causality for support or demonize either side of it, and overall just becomes a senseless argument until the end result is nothing to argue about (i.e. destruction of all guns), and since that'll never happen, the only argument you're making is the one you side for. You've made your point with your original OP, so leave it at that.
At the end of the day, if people as a whole could remove the concept of using a gun for thier own personal gain (intimidation, violence, etc) from thier motives, then it wouldn't matter if there were guns around or not because then everyone would be responsible with them and only use them for sport (which, admittedly, could also be seen as "personal gain" in some regards). But as I mentioned before, since the removal of all guns from existence will never happen, there will never be one side of the argument "more right" than the other.
And frankly, since this video (and comment section) is meant for humorous purposes (not your "here's my take on the whole gun ban" spiel), just drop it and enjoy what the comedy is meant for, some laughs.
Hell, if you wanted to go a step further (and I understand this goes against your ego's wishes), just delete the OP and move TF on... If you guys ever actually want to get a pew pew, I’d recommend learning with something like like a Ruger 10/22. It’s a .22 rifle and easy to use, learn with, cheap to use and practice with, usually cost $300 or less, and is legal to own almost everywhere

For self defense I got a Glock 19. Super easy to learn, easy to open carry, and could conceal carry with the right clothes . I’m small, but it was so much better to fire, and more accurate than smaller pistols so I sacrificed concealability. I live in Wyoming. If you go to Ace, half the people in there will be open carrying.

Also Jeffries talks about banning guns to end massacres. According to the records.. there was 19 massacres in the 23 yrs before 1996 when they banned gun and 32 massacres in the 23 yrs after. Wouldn't exactly say that's an improvement.
Right because giving civilians firearms to fight against a government that is backed by one of the world biggest superpowers i.e. China is a good idea. This may just be a perfect storm for China to deploy their army over to Hong Kong to help "CALM" things down. Not to mention China will use this as a very good excuse to imprison the people of Hong Kong whether they have any involvement or not with the firearms, even with the peaceful protesters especially individuals with great influence in the protest. You know in the real world, it's not about who has the highest level of Testosterone in their body but more about who can use most of their brains than others.
China isn't America. I think that's the point here. Americans have a system that actually could resist the government since the military itself is sworn to uphold their constitutional rights. The checks and balances are established to prevent the military from being turned on the civilian population by a tyrant, directly. 100,000,000+ armed civilians is a problem for any military, even with tanks and bombs.
China doesn't have a "2nd Amendment". Their citizens do not have the right to freedom of speech or freedom to follow their own religion. China's a mess. The people of Hong Kong are fighting and dying for the freedoms Americans take for granted or freely try to give up.

FYI: The 2017 Las Vegas Mass Shooting (60 people killed and 411 wounded) was significantly worse than the Port Arthur Massacre (35 people were killed and 23 wounded). Gun owners stand for their right to own guns to defend themselves with, it’s really quite simple and just about every gun owner in America feels that same way which is why they own a gun in the first place. the whole argument he had against having a gun to defend yourself with is that a gun in a safe is useless, which would be why people own holsters and why there’s states where you can openly carry. A lot of what he said is wrong. Port Arthur isn’t the biggest mass shooting in the world and the only two years since the 1980’s that gun violence increased, were the 2 years that gun buybacks were implemented in Australia. He straight up admits in his next special that he made up the statistic about how likely you are to injure yourself with a gun and the pay rate of a security guard is actually lower than he says in this. He uses a bunch of things that Australians are told about guns that are just wrong (coming from an Australian). Like, for instance that the gun buybacks here got rid of guns (I know people here with criminal records that own guns) and the argument that only criminals will have guns if you take them away from the people being untrue (which is laughable, we have biker gangs here that get done with safe houses filled with guns and ammunition). He’s a funny comedian and that’s about it.
When I owned a pistol for my home, I cut away a section of the drywall near the bed and put the gun there. then put the drywall back and puttied it up and paint it. I cut it away every six months, checked the gun, put it back. After five years I laughed at myself, and took the gun to a gun range and kept the pistol there.

Deff gotta practice with a pistol. It's hard to hit shit at 30 yards.
You will likely never get into a position as a civilian where you need to take a shot at 30 yards, honestly that's irresponsible. Every bullet has a name on it, especially the ones that miss. At that range just run or take cover and wait for the police. Most civilian engagements come at a range of 7 yards or less, often at near point blank range. Get good on the fundamentals at 7 to 10 yards, practice 15 a bit and then learn to point shoot over the sights if you want to be a competent self defense marksman. The only instance I can think of where a 30 yard pistol shot might come up as a civillian is in the mass shooter scenario, across a park or something, and even then, I'd have to seriously consider not closing first, even as a Marine. Nothing would make me feel worse than trying to come to someone's aid and killing an innocent in the process. I would rather do what I can to insure I can take a good shot and get hit in the process than have that happen.

The most funny thing about this bit is the truth in it! especially the part about pistols. Before I was a gun guy, I never realized how hard it was to be accurate shooting pistol I thought it was just like the movies. 😂
uh, only the wealthiest 6% owned slaves, so that whole analogy fails right there, so I thought it was a good attempt but it fell flat for me. Every classroom in Israel has a military grade weapon, a Galil or an uzi, and they NEVER have school shootings. well, they did ONCE, before the weapons were put into the schools. But not after. Of course, every teacher has served in the Israeli Defense Force and is qualified to use the weapon, so that would be a real problem here.
And yet they have a higher homicide rate than the UK, Australia and Japan who all saw a significant decrease in homicides following their successful deployments of gun control.

The criminals don't worry about gun laws, and there's no law close enough to save them! The farmers with pitch forks against criminals with guns, and this has literally already happened in Australia .
@@brianwalrod2253 Homicides were reduced from gun intervention in the UK, Australia and Japan. Maximising the lethality of the weapons used only maximises the death toll when violence does occur. Criminals won't follow the law but effective gun intervention is already proven to work.

Guns are used to save a lot of people but there are less lethal self defensive weapons. Guns are only necessary against an assailant with a gun ironically. Guns do not save every one they put in danger as 15,000 people are shot and killed every year (excluding suicides). You're just making it more likely that you and your men, women and children will be shot to death. Your anecdotal optimism is not representative of the bigger objective picture.

Before and after Port Arthor Illegal fire arms and legal bolt actions caused more then most of the gun murders. We did have mass shootings before or after the buy back with or without semi auto's. Honestly, some of the mass shootings have happened in no gun states. Fact is, if you are planning to kill, you don't give a damn if a sign is hanging up that says "No guns allowed". And again, if you are planning to kill, you will find a way to get a gun, legit or not.

What's funny.. is America has more people int he state of Texas alone than the entire country of Australia. I like Jim Jeffries but one thing it and the UK both showed is that when guns were banned, rapes, muggings and theft more than tripled and death rates barely decreased. Also worth mentioning.. he said massacres dropped to 0 after 96.. not even remotely true.. there has been about 2 dozen or so massacres there, some of which were over 10 people dead. The problem with most people debating gun control is they cherry pick facts and omit other truths.
If you want to get technical.. 32 mass shootings from 96 to now 2019 in Australia involving multiple deaths.. 23 yrs. From 96 to 73 there are 19 massacres of the same average death count. 23 yrs without gun control.. now.. I'm no mathematician..

I was married to a woman that was the single dinghy-est human I've ever known. I'm convinced she dyed her hair brown to achieve artificial intelligence. Anyway, I loved & still do, going to concerts. Been to hundreds... When the band the wallflowers hit they were huge very quickly. Lead singer is the son of the iconic Bob Dylan. His name is Jacob. Wife & I were on our way to see them in Spartanburg sc. While on our way I informed her of who the singer was & also who his father is. Off the top of my head I told her that his name was Dillon... it took it a few minutes but it hit her that I had Saud he was Dillon Dylan. She doubted me. I said "think about it. Bob did alot of good "substances" in his day. Was probably stoned when he named him..." Eventually she accepted it. Had a great time at the show. Fast forward some years later. We had divorced, & I had our young daughter on this particular weekend. Around 2:30 am I get a call from my ex wife/baby momma, who was obviously quite drunk. As soon as I said hello she lit into me with a string of 4 letter words that would've made a sailor blush all while her new husband was unable to control his laughter in the background. Apparently they had been at some kind of social gathering/party when my 4ever dinghy ex decided to speak intelligently about Mr. Dillon Dylan of the wallflowers... Didn't quite work out like she'd hoped it would. Lol. Love all the comedy reaction vidz with ur Queen. Have only recently found them but have Bern a subscriber almost 2 yrs. Came for the creepy/conspiracies... Remain for the comedy reactions etc. Love it all. Keep it up.
